Whether it's in our workplaces, grad school programs, or friend groups, we encounter people from a variety of different cultures. This creates opportunities to learn from one another, but when we do not understand cultural differences, it can also lead to misunderstandings and conflict. As Christians, we want to love people well, and learning about other cultures can help us with this.

We'll be delving more into this topic at our World Cultures Young Adult event on Thursday, May 30, at 7pm in the Brook Hills Student Center. 

Jess Roberts, a BH member who serves with our church's ESL program and who is working on a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language, will be teaching us about three different types of cultures and how they differ from one another. 

We will also have FOOD from around the world, which YOU can sign up to bring! Whether it's a dessert, appetizer, side dish, bread, or entree, we'll enjoy a multicultural potluck together. To sign up for potluck, click here.
*If you can't bring a dish, don't let that stop you from coming or from bringing friends.

For February-September, we'll have monthly Young Adult Gatherings on the last Thursday of the month at 7pm. These events are open to singles in their 20s/30s, young married couples in their 20s/30s, and parents of preschoolers at Brook Hills.
