Cason Pyrtle

Associate Worship Minister

Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Associate Worship Minister at The Church at Brook Hills, I have the joy of supporting our worship staff in various aspects of the music ministry. My responsibilities include planning and leading worship services as well as focusing on music selection and arrangements that foster Gospel-centered and Christ-exalting worship. I also assist in scheduling, rehearsals, and communication within the worship ministry. A significant aspect of my role involves discipling and developing musicians as they strive to honor God with their gifts. Together, our worship ministry aims to utilize our creative talents to produce resources that benefit our church and other congregations. Ultimately, I pray that our music ministry glorifies God and inspires others to honor Him in all their endeavors.

About Me: I grew up in North Carolina before attending Anderson University in South Carolina, where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Worship Leadership, graduating in December 2023. In November 2023, I married my wonderful wife, Natalie, and we look forward to building a life together centered on faith. When I'm not involved in music, I enjoy watching sports—rooting for NC State, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the New York Mets. I also love spending time outdoors, hiking, and playing pickleball. I’m excited to see how my journey unfolds as I continue to serve at Brook Hills and share my love for music with others.

Favorite Scripture:

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

- Hebrews 12:1-2

Interesting Fact: I have competed in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics.
