Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of His Word and the establishment of His Church. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide our understanding as we begin our study of Acts as a faith family. Pray for God to use this study to unite us together as a church around our purpose and mission. Ask for opportunities for gospel witness both here where we live and in other places throughout the U.S. and around the world. Pray for the empowering of the Holy Spirit to make us effective witnesses to Christ. Pray God will receive much glory through our study of His word and our obedience to all we learn within the Scriptures.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for racial reconciliation and unity in the Body of Christ in Birmingham for the sake of gospel advancement and the glory of Christ in our city. We are also praying for New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Thomas Beavers.
Day 1: Pray for the churches in Birmingham to reflect the unity of the Spirit by initiating partnerships with one another to display, demonstrate, and declare the gospel together across our city.
Day 2: Pray for all believers across Birmingham to pursue unity with believers of other ethnicities showing love, grace, and humility in a way that displays Christ’s character to the entire city.
Day 3: Pray for the advancement of the Gospel and the planting of new churches throughout Birmingham among all ethnicities and within all communities, especially those affected by high crime rates.
Day 4: Pray that the Spirit would lead Christians of all ethnicities to walk in forgiveness, extending grace to those who have caused division or have acted unjustly in their prejudices.
Day 5: Pray that evangelical church leaders across the city would be willing to mobilize their people to make disciples in urban areas that are isolated from the Church and where their demonstrations of the gospel through good works are greatly needed.
Day 6: Pray that God would make all believers in the city aware of our own sin, ignorance, ethnocentrism, prejudices, and apathy and that He would use our Faith Family to tear down the barriers that often divide His Body.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Member Organization, Vapor International. Vapor aims to establish sustainable centers for alleviating poverty and multiplying disciples in third-world environments. Through sports leagues at the Vapor Centers in Haiti, Kenya, and Togo, many men, women and children are able to hear of Christ and be discipled while having their basic needs met. Join us this week by praying for Vapor International. For more information visit vaporinternational.org.
Day 1: Pray for the disciple-making efforts of Vapor. Pray that men, women, and children will turn to Christ in faith and repentance.
Day 2: Pray for Vapor staff and volunteers to remain passionate about making disciples.
Day 3: Many Vapor trips will take place this summer. Pray for God to use these trips to have a lasting impact on all who participate and advance the gospel.
Day 4: Pray for the sports league coaches who faithfully and sacrificially serve at Vapor Centers. Pray that they will be well equipped to disciple and train others who they are serving.
Day 5: Pray for God to give wisdom to Micah McElveen and his team as they faithfully serve and lead the ministry of Vapor International.
Day 6: Pray for God to receive glory through the lives of people who are being saved. Pray for Vapor to be a faithful instrument to make Christ known in the places they are serving.

Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory the King of Glory

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)
Verse 1
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him
Verse 2
One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken
Pre-Chorus
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated
Chorus
Now forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen
He is alive and He is alive
Bridge
We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah the Lamb has overcome

By the Spirit of pow'r
That raised Christ from the dead

And I'm more than blessed

A fire consuming all for Your Son's holy Name
And with the heavens we declare
You are our King

We love You Lord
We worship You
You are our God You alone are good

Let now Your church shine as the bride
That You saw in Your heart
As You offered up Your life
And now the lost be welcomed home
By the saved and redeemed
Those adopted as Your own

You asked Your Son to carry this
The heavy cross
Our weight of sin
