Pray for the Church
Praise God for being our good Shepherd. Ask Him to continue to grow your faith and trust in Him. Pray for His help to endure whatever trouble you are facing. Pray for God to bring about His goodness and mercy in and through your life.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Widows First, a Christian nonprofit ministry designed to help relieve burdens from widows while sharing the gospel and demonstrating God’s unconditional love. There are 10,000 widows in Shelby County and 46,000 in Jefferson County. Widows First serves widows by performing general maintenance and home repair services free of charge. This ministry is led by Brook Hills attenders, Mike and Lynn Patterson. We are also praying for Shades Mountain Independent Church and Pastor Rick Goertzen.
DAY 1: Pray for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of those served by Widows First. Pray they will respond in faith to the demonstration and declaration of the Gospel.
DAY 2: Pray for the Widows First staff and volunteers as they minister to widows, widowers, elderly couples, and their families. Pray they would draw strength from the Lord as they sow spiritual seeds and wait for the harvest.
DAY 3: Pray for the widows in financial need, specifically for the widow of four years who recently suffered much loss due to a house fire.
DAY 4: Pray for the widows facing poor health conditions, specifically for the elderly widow with dementia who is in need of full-time care.
DAY 5: Pray for the widows who have been left to carry heavy burdens of responsibility on their own, specifically the young widow raising a special needs child and the new mother whose husband passed away just before she gave birth.
DAY 6: Pray for widows whose hearts have been hardened by their difficult circumstances. Pray for the Lord to draw them near and the Holy Spirit to soften their hearts.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Church Planters Chris and Leah. Chris, Leah, and their three children serve as our team leaders among an unreached people group in East Asia. Together with other members from Brook Hills, their family is intentionally engaging the lost with the gospel and prayerfully asking God to use them to establish His church in their city. Join us this week as we pray for this family. We are also praying for our Short-Term team serving in South East Asia.
DAY 1: Praise God for the Church Planting team God has called out from Brook Hills to share the gospel and establish a church in East Asia.
DAY 2: Pray for God to give Chris wisdom and discernment as He grows in his leadership of the team and their business. Pray for unity as Chris moves the team into this season of ministry and for God to be honored as they serve one another and those around them.
DAY 3: Pray for God to encourage Chris and Leah as they love one another and love their children. Pray for God to continue to strengthen their family that they may display Christ to their neighbors and friends.
DAY 4: Pray for God to continue to call out more people from Brook Hills and other churches to go and work with our East Asia Church Planting Team.
DAY 5: Praise God for all of the people they have encountered and built relationships with. Pray specifically for God to save those that Chris and Leah have shared the gospel with this past month.
DAY 6: Pray for God to continue to open the hearts of the people Chris and Leah serve among. Pray for an awakening to their need for a savior. Pray for God to make Chris and Leah steadfast as they trust in God’s sovereignty and His purpose for their lives.

Praise the King
Verse 1
There's a reason why the curse of sin is broken
There's a reason why the darkness runs from light
There's a reason why we stand here now forgiven
Jesus is alive
Verse 2
There’s a reason why we are not overtaken
There’s a reason why we sing on through the night
There’s a reason why our hope remains eternal
Jesus is alive
Chorus
Praise the King He is risen
Praise the King He's alive (yeah)
Praise the King death's defeated
Hallelujah He's alive (oh)
(Hallelujah He's alive)
Verse 3
There's a reason why our hearts can be courageous
There's a reason why the dead are made alive
There's a reason why we share His resurrection
Jesus is alive (oh He's alive)
Bridge
The grave could not ignore it
When all of heaven's roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
The world could not ignore it
When all the saints are roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive
Bless the Lord (Son of Man)
Son of Man, Son of Righteousness
King of the earth for sinners slain
I was lost in darkness bound
You ransomed my heart and I will sing
My strength, My deliverer
The One who rescues me
My hope, My redeemer
Your love has set me free
Bless the Lord, O my soul (4x)
In the splendor of Your majesty
From deep within my spirit sings
Holy, holy
Bless the Lord, O my soul (4x)
Death Was Arrested
Verse 1
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began
Verse 2
Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 1
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
Verse 3
Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend Oh
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 2
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
It's Your endless love pouring down on us
You have made us new now life begins with You
Oh yes it does
Verse 4
Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross
Darkness rejoiced as though Heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That's when death was arrested and my life began
That's when death was arrested and my life began
Bridge
Oh we're free free forever we're free
Come join the song of all the redeemed
Yes we're free free forever amen
When death was arrested and my life began
Ending
When death was arrested and my life began
That's when death was arrested and my life began
Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)
Verse 1
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him
Verse 2
One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken
Pre-Chorus
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated
Chorus
Now forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen
He is alive and He is alive
Bridge
We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah the Lamb has overcome
