Pray for God to grow our faith and trust in Him. Ask the Spirit to continue to produce spiritual fruit in our individual lives and our life as a faith family. Pray for God to increase our love for all peoples and to grant us the perseverance to follow Him as He leads us to make His gospel known among all nations. Pray we as a church will be known as a people of prayer and love for our neighbors here and around the world.

This week we are praying for Serve Week (July 23-27), a united initiative among local churches and ministry partners to love and serve the East Lake community in Jesus’ name. The week will be filled with home improvement projects for low-income families, community and school cleanup, Backyard Bible clubs, preparation for Ready Day One, prayer walking, feeding the hungry, and corporate worship. DAY 1: Pray as we serve together in unity and display the diversity of the body of Christ, that racial, religious, and economic barriers would be broken down, and a deeper level of reconciliation and healing will take place in our city.

DAY 2: Fear and depression are very prevalent strongholds across our city. Pray as we go out to encourage those in hard places, for our neighbors to find freedom and hope in Christ.

DAY 3: Pray for the children in Marks Village and nearby neighborhoods who will attend the Backyard Bible Clubs during Serve Week. Pray for many to receive salvation and grow in Christ so they can make an impact in their communities.

DAY 4: Many youth and families with children will be participating in Serve Week. Pray for the next generation to catch a vision of what it means to love their neighbors as themselves and to make disciples within their own city.

DAY 5: Pray for all of the logistical preparation to come together smoothly: for many groups and families to register, for the home projects to be approved, for plenty of site leaders at each project location, for more local churches to join the initiative, and for all to be well-prepared to serve in love and humility. 

DAY 6: Pray for God to enable all who serve to speak the Word with boldness and clarity and for Christ’s name to be honored and glorified as the gospel is proclaimed and demonstrated.

This week we want to spend time praying for our church planting team in Kuala Lumpur. Last week marked the beginning of Ramadan for 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. For the month of June, Muslims all over the world will fast, pray, and seek to be closer to Allah. Many of our Brook Hills Church Planting Teams serve among Muslim people groups. Join us this week as we pray that the Lord would use our church planting teams to make Christ known and bring Muslim men and women to himself. We are also praying for our Short-Term teams serving in East Asia.

DAY 1: Pray for the more than 17 million Muslim majority people in Malaysia, known as the Malay, to begin coming to Christ in larger numbers than ever before.

DAY 2: As many Malay dedicated their lives to prayer during the month of Ramadan, ask God to reveal Himself to them. 

DAY 3: To be Malay is to be Muslim. It is their culture and heritage. Pray that the Malay will be delivered from Satan’s lies that hold them so tightly to tradition. 

DAY 4: Pray that the Malay will understand that Jesus, the true Lamb, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin.

DAY 5: Pray for members of our faith family who have moved to Kuala Lumpur to work and live and engage the lost with the gospel. Pray for God to give them success as they strive to integrate into and thrive in their new community.

DAY 6: Pray for the Malay to realize they are unable to turn from sin on their own. Pray for God to save many Malay.
