Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Ask God to grow our trust in Him as we faithfully follow after Him. Praise Him for all of the help He offers us throughout our entire lives. Pray for God’s justice in the world, and ask Him to use us, His people, to care for the needy, the refugee and stranger, and the widow and the fatherless.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Lifeline Children’s Services, a Christ-centered holistic orphan care ministry in Birmingham, Alabama. Lifeline serves families by supporting them in adoption, foster care, education and international orphan care. We are also praying for Shades Mountain Community Church and Pastor Rick Goertzen.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Partners in Christ, our Brook Hills partner in Nicaragua. Partners in Christ is led by Garland Alford and serves a network of more than 30 churches and pastors in the surrounding communities of Managua. Through Partners in Christ, The Church at Brook Hills sends Short-Term teams to strengthen the local church by training/equipping pastors and encouraging local believers by joining in gospel outreach to their communities. Nicaragua is currently in a state of crisis due to violence and protests against the government. Many people in this network of churches are suffering from lack of food, water, and basic necessities. Please join us this week as we pray for our partners and the church in Nicaragua. We are also praying for our Short-Term teams serving in East Asia, Dearborn, and New York City.
