Pray for the Church
Praise God for the miraculous work of salvation He enacts through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Ask God to grow our faith in Christ and to make us bold in our witness of Him to all those around us here and around the world. Pray for the God of the Harvest to prepare the hearts of people around us to hear and respond to His gospel we carry and share.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Christian Marriages in Crisis (CMIC), a ministry led by Brook Hills members, Paul and Suzi Talley. CMIC works to bring healing, restoration, and healthy communication to Christian couples experiencing crisis through couple-to-couple counseling, a community of encouragers, and workshops for wives, husbands, and couples. Go to christianmarriagesincrisis.com for more info. We are also praying for Shades Mountain Community Church and Pastor Rick Goertzen.
DAY 1: Pray for the couples attending the Men’s workshop and Women’s workshop this weekend and next weekend. Pray for them to experience freedom from bondage and be transformed by the Word of God.
DAY 2: Pray for Paul and Suzi’s own marriage and family. Pray they will exemplify Christ-like service, endurance, and grace to each other and to the hurting couples they are ministering to.
DAY 3: Pray for financial provision and stability for CMIC. Pray for monthly givers and special gifts to come forward as the ministry continues to provide care and counseling to couples free of charge.
DAY 4: Pray for wisdom and patience as Paul and Suzi transition to living with and caring for Paul’s mother who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
DAY 5: Pray for a restful and refreshing retreat as the Talleys get away for a few days in October. Pray for the Lord to provide them a place to stay near the beach while Paul’s mom visits other relatives.
DAY 6: Pray for spiritual protection as the Talleys and others serve on the front lines of ministry, engaging with the enemy of marriage on a daily basis. Pray for them to be open and vulnerable and to have strong accountability and support from those around them.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Global Gates, a strategic field partner for Brook Hills in mobilizing our members to engage unreached people groups living in North America. Global Gates, based in New York City, is transforming societies and peoples through ministry and church planting movements among unreached people groups in their city and beyond. Brook Hills sends Short-Term teams and Mid-Term teams to serve with Global Gates. Join us as we pray for Global Gates and their ministry.
DAY 1: New York City is one of the world’s top global cities and is home to one of the most diverse immigrant populations in the world, most of whom are from areas of the world where access to the gospel is limited. Pray for God to open doors into the communities where Global Gates is sending their people. Pray for God to soften hearts so the gospel can spread.
DAY 2: Global Gates has added three new teams (families) to their network of workers serving among South Asians in Metro NYC. Pray for them this week as they go out to find men and women of peace within the Indian and Bangladeshi Islamic communities. Pray for God to bring them to those who will be a doorway into those communities.
DAY 3: Pray for the many workers who have joined Global Gates this year. Pray for God to give them favor as they engage their neighbors and communities with the gospel. Pray for these workers to rely on the power of the Holy Spirit and not their own ability to save people.
DAY 4: Pray for the leaders of Global Gates. Pray for God to give each of them wisdom as they seek the things God has planned for their ministry and outreach. Pray for God to make them successful in their efforts.
DAY 5: Pray for the Global Gates team reaching out to Pakistani communities. There is a man who is interested in the gospel. Ask God to open his heart to Christ and for the workers to be faithful as they share.
DAY 6: Pray for God to use Global Gates to cause many to turn to Christ. Pray for a movement of the gospel among unreached people groups and for New York City to be a place where the gospel goes forward to the ends of the earth.

Rejoice
Verse 1
Come and stand before your maker
Full of wonder full of fear
Come behold his power and glory
Yet with confidence draw near
For the one who holds the heavens
And commands the stars above
Is the God who bends to bless us
With an unrelenting love
Chorus
Rejoice
Come and lift your hands and raise your voice
He is worthy of all praise
Rejoice
Sing the mercies of your king
And with trembling rejoice
Verse 2
We are children of the promise
The beloved of the Lord
Won with everlasting kindness
Bought with sacrificial blood
Bringing reconciliation
To a world that longs to know
The affections of a father
Who will never let them go
Verse 3
All our sickness all our sorrows
Jesus carried up the hill
He has walked this path before us
He is walking with us still
Turning tragedy to triumph
Turning agony to praise
There is blessing in the battle
So take heart and stand amazed
Chorus
Rejoice
When you cry to him he hears your voice
He will wipe away your tears
Rejoice
In the midst of suffering
He will help you sing
All Creatures of Our God and King
Verse 1
All creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Thou, burning sun with golden beam
Thou, silver moon with softer gleam
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!
Verse 2
Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son
And praise the Spirit, Three-in-One
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!
Verse 3
All the redeemed washed by His blood
Come and rejoice in His great love
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Christ has defeated every sin
Cast all your burdens now on Him
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!
Verse 4
He shall return in pow'r to reign
Heaven and earth will join to say
O praise Him! Allelujah!
Then who shall fall on bended knee?
All creatures of our God and King
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Allelujah! Allelujah! Allelujah!
Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
Man Of Sorrows
Man of sorrows Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Sent of heaven God's own Son
To purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones
Who nailed Him to that tree
Now my debt is paid
It is paid in full
By the precious blood
That my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin
Has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
See the stone is rolled away
Behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised
He's risen from the grave
Jesus Thank You
Verse 1
The myst’ry of the cross I cannot comprehend
The agonies of Calvary
You the perfect Holy One crushed Your Son
Who drank the bitter cup reserved for me
Chorus
Your blood has washed away my sin
Jesus thank You
The Father's wrath completely satisfied
Jesus thank You
Once Your enemy now seated at Your table
Jesus thank You
Verse 2
By Your perfect sacrifice I've been brought near
Your enemy You've made Your friend
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end
Bridge
Lover of my soul I want to live for You
