Pray for the Church
Praise God for His faithfulness and for the justice He has promised and He alone has the power and righteousness to execute. Thank Him for the salvation He brings, and pray for the salvation of those you know who have yet to trust in Christ. Pray for God to use this Christmas season to help them see their need for Him and to lead them to repent and turn to Him.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for various Christmas outreach efforts across our city, specifically among our ESL Students — through the Brook Hills ESL (English as a Second Language) Ministry — and among our neighbors in Marks Village (through Oak Tree Ministries). The Christmas season offers a unique opportunity to witness to others as we celebrate the true gift of Christmas, the free gift of eternal life made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are also praying for Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Michael Wesley, Sr.
DAY 1: Pray for our own faith family as we find intentional ways to engage the lost, show hospitality, and exalt Christ during this Christmas season. Pray for faithful and fruitful gospel conversations.
DAY 2: Pray for the ESL Christmas Celebration on December 13. Pray for God to give the students spiritual understanding as they learn about the true meaning of Christmas.
DAY 3: Pray many of our unbelieving neighbors will be invited into Christian homes this Christmas to witness the joy that this holiday brings to those who have trusted in Christ.
Day 4: Pray for Christmas in the Village, on December 14-16, in Marks Village. Pray for Christ to be exalted and glorified through this outreach and for mutually transforming relationships to be formed. Pray for many gospel conversations.
DAY 5: Pray for our partner ministries and other Christian organizations in the community as they seek to honor the Lord and serve the city through various avenues this Christmas.
DAY 6: Pray for many across our city to personally consider the gift of Christ this Christmas and to receive His gift of forgiveness and eternal life through repentance and faith.
