Pray for the Church
Praise God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, on that first Christmas so long ago. Pray for opportunities to share the message of Christmas with others we encounter over the holidays. Ask God to soften the hearts of those who will hear the gospel through so many times of celebration and to grant them ears to hear and faith to believe. Pray for Got to use us all individually and corporately as a church to carry His gospel to many who have not yet heard, that we might celebrate Christmas next year with new brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for King’s Home. For 50 years King’s Home has been home to thousands of youth, women and kids seeking refuge, hope, and help from domestic violence, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances. King's Home's purpose is to serve Christ by serving youth, women, and mothers with children.
DAY 1: Pray for the King’s Home residents who don't know Christ that they may come to know Him as their loving Lord and Savior. Pray that the youth, women, and children touched by King’s Home may be drawn to Him for strength to heal and rise above their circumstances.
DAY 2: Pray for stable mental and emotional health for the youth, women, and children supported by King’s Home. Please pray against fear, rage, hopelessness, anxiety and depression that some residents struggle with due to trauma in their stories. Pray for healing for their minds and hearts.
DAY 3: Pray for financial provision for all the King’s Home programs. Spring & Summer are historically low periods for giving. Please pray for the fruitfulness of the funding efforts to provide for all of their residents' needs, especially in the midst of the rising prices of gas, food, etc.
DAY 4: Pray for King’s Home house parents and Direct Care Staff- those who are on the "front lines" of care for the residents. The house parents have a challenging job that is 24/7 caring for the King’s Home youth, many of which arrive with behavioral issues. Those in Direct Care need an abundance of grace, patience, and energy. Pray that they would be encouraged in the Word daily, have rich fellowship with others, get the support they need and feel re-energized after their time off.
DAY 5: Pray for the right staff to fill open positions at King's Home. Much like the rest of the country, filling open staff positions continues to be a major challenge. Please pray that God might bring the right people to love and encourage the youth, women, and children of King’s Home.
DAY 6: Pray that the King’s Home's mission would be fulfilled. Pray that their work would glorify God. Pray that their homes would remain Christ-centered. Pray that King’s Home staff and volunteers would exhibit both compassion and competence in caring for the residents. Pray that the residents’ emotional, mental, physical, relational, and spiritual needs would be met.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our partners in Turkiye. This year Turkiye was devastated by multiple earthquakes. In the midst of this, the church has been platformed in unique ways to show and share the love of Christ. Through Global Offering we have been able to come alongside this effort, along with encouraging workers, and supporting ongoing ministry efforts outside of earthquake relief.
DAY 1: The population of Turkiye is 85,679,000, however, 85,014,000 are considered to not have access to the gospel. Praise the Lord for the small number of believers that are in Turkiye. Pray that these believers will be strengthened in their faith and will share the gospel with wisdom, clarity, and boldness.
DAY 2: This year a cultural center in Turkiye has seen two students come to faith. Praise the Lord for these new believers in Christ. Pray that they would be strengthened and encouraged in their faith as they are connected to a local church and are discipled.
DAY 3: Pray for the many who have been impacted by the earthquakes that happened earlier this year. Pray that the Lord would draw near and that he would open the eyes of the blind to his everlasting hope.
DAY 4: Pray for the local church as they continue to seek to meet the needs of those who have lost everything. Pray that the church leaders would remain humble and seek to work alongside others.
DAY 5: Pray for the endurance of the believers across the country who are living out their faith each day. Pray they would be bold and would lean on Christ for all their needs.
DAY 6: Pray for the many workers who are continuing to try to find dependable access to this region of the world. Pray for the Lord to provide visas for these workers and families as they seek to be light in a dark region.
