Praise God for hearing us when we call out to Him. Pray for us all to grow in our trust of Him. Pray we will all abound in joy in Christ.

This week we are praying for Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries (alabamachild.org). ABCH strives to protect, nurture, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services such as homes for children, Family Care Homes for homeless mothers and their children, foster care recruitment and training, professional counseling for families and children, camps and events for foster families, and seminars on child and family issues. We are also praying for Leeds Valley Church and Pastor Nate Farrow.

DAY 1: Join in the ministry of foster parenting by praying for foster parents and foster children as they worship in their local churches today. The parents will need replenishment. The children need healing, salvation, and spiritual development.

DAY 2: Come alongside foster children in prayer as they journey through their school year. It can be very difficult for them as they enter new schools and try to make new friends. Pray for their teachers, tutors, and administrators to have wisdom and understanding of how to meet their needs.

DAY 3: Today we are supporting social workers in prayer. Every ABCH foster family receives a social worker to help support their family while fostering. These social workers can find themselves doing almost anything you could imagine on a given day from sitting bedside of a sick child in the hospital to advocating in courts or school for the needs of children.

DAY 4: Join us as we pray for the many resources being invested in ABCH statewide. ABCH is the largest faith-based provider of foster care services in the state which takes lots of resources. The noncash donations we receive like new diapers, strollers, and clothes mean so much to our foster families. Finally, the cash donations from individuals, business, and churches are absolutely transforming lives today through events like Camp of Champions.

DAY 5: Pray for the biological parents of our foster children. Our goal is to see as many families reunified as possible which typically amounts to 80-85% of our children. Pray biological families experience love from Christians in a way they never have before and that experience would be transforming to them.

DAY 6: Pray for the churches that serve these foster families. Pray these churches will be a supportive and welcoming environment for families to be encouraged and children to be safe and loved.

This week we are praying for our Brook Hills short term team that will be serving with our long termers in Cambodia.

DAY 1: Pray for travel mercies, for the Lord to go before the team and provide for their every need. Ask the Lord to sustain them and give them good health, strength, and energy as they serve each day.

DAY 2:  The team will be conducting a biblical financial workshop while they are in Cambodia. Pray the workshop will be a blessing to locals. Pray the fruit of the workshop will be healthy money management, freedom from debt, and generosity to others.  

DAY 3: The financial workshops will be held in local churches. Pray for these local churches to continue to be spiritually healthy and for them to multiply within their communities through joyful evangelism and discipleship.

DAY 4: Ask the Lord to give the team wisdom and discernment. Pray for the Spirit to lead them to people seeking Truth and for fruitful relationships to form as they befriend locals and share the Good News.

DAY 5: The team will be ministering to children while they are there. Pray that these children will know God's love for them and that they will thrive emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Pray for healing for those who have experienced trauma.

DAY 6:  Pray that this trip will have eternal ramifications for the people of Cambodia. Ask the Lord of the harvest to bless the seeds sown, that the Word would be implanted and the soil will be ready for kingdom growth that will lead to gospel transformation.
