Praise God for the ways He worked in our lives through our Great Commission Conference this weekend. Pray we will all embrace and fulfill the role we have to play in accomplishing His mission here and around the world. Ask for God to embolden us in our witness and to grant us perseverance to endure through any challenges we may face in making disciples of all nations.

This week we are praying for the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association (bmbaonline.org), a cooperative effort of local Southern Baptist churches working together to create gospel advancement opportunities that reach beyond the efforts of an individual congregation. The mission of BMBA is to encourage, equip, and engage churches in the Great Commission. We are especially praying for Dr. Chris Crain, the Executive Director. We are also praying for Sixth Avenue Baptist Church and Pastor John Cantelow III.

DAY 1: Please pray for the 170 BMBA pastors and their families across the Birmingham Metro Area. Pray that the pastors will faithfully proclaim the Gospel as they face a changing culture. Pray that they would model Christ-like love and service to their own families.

DAY 2: Please pray for the BMBA Partner Center. Pray for the many partners utilizing that space, including WorkFaith Birmingham, Discovery Clubs, Pathways Counseling, and Vestavia Sav-A-Life Crisis Pregnancy Center.

DAY 3: Pray specifically for the 1400 children being discipled in public schools across Birmingham through the BMBA’s Discovery Club Ministry. Pray that the children would come to know Jesus and help draw their families near to Him as well. Pray for the faithful volunteers serving each week and that the Lord would call more volunteers to join Discovery Clubs.

DAY 4: Pray for the BMBA churches currently involved in a revitalization process. Pray that their congregations would be renewed, that more leaders would join their work, and that they would be used to reach their communities with the Gospel in greater ways in days ahead. Pray that other churches would come alongside them to partner in reaching the lost.

DAY 5: Pray for the many BMBA churches that are currently without a pastor. Pray that the Holy Spirit would draw a Pastor to serve these churches well.

DAY 6: Pray for the nine distribution points throughout the city that help relieve food insecurities for families in need while sharing the gospel. Pray for the churches that are humbly using food ministries to serve and love their communities.

It is estimated that there are 1.8 billion Muslims in the world and many of them remain unreached by the gospel. Some of our missionaries are living and working in areas where there is a predominantly Muslim population. This week Ramadan begins. During Ramadan Muslims enter into a season of prayer and fasting. Join us in praying for muslims and for our missionaries who will have unique opportunities during Ramadan to engage with Muslims with the gospel, the only way to peace and eternal life in Christ.

DAY 1: Pray for the believers in Muslim-majority nations to be a bold witnesses. Ask the Lord to enable them to share how they turned from Islam to faith in Christ with their community. Pray for wisdom and discernment and for protection for those who may come to harm if they share their faith.

DAY 2:  Ask the Lord to use this time of spiritual consecration to open the spiritual eyes of Muslims to the Truth. Pray that their hearts would be softened and that they would see the need to turn from Islam to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

DAY 3: Pray for churches to continue to grow and that the churches that have been established would have a burden to plant churches among their Muslim neighbors.

DAY 4: Ask the Lord to give our missionaries unity with their teams and that he would continue to establish partnerships within the global church. Pray that he would enable them to work diligently together to spread the gospel to the Muslim world.

DAY 5: Pray for scripture and gospel resources to be created and made available to Muslims in their heart language. Ask God to bless the efforts of those who are translating and working to accomplish this effort.

DAY 6: Ask the Lord to bless the efforts of our missionaries and that they would see many Muslims come to faith in Jesus. Pray boldly that entire Muslim communities would come to faith in Christ and be baptized and discipled.
