Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of a new year. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in growing in faith and knowledge. Pray for Him to help us all to seek His kingdom first, above all else.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Brook Hills students of all ages who have just returned to school after the holidays. We want to pray for their parents, teachers, administrators, mentors, and spiritual leaders as they seek to equip them to reach their full potential and enjoy God’s good design for their life in 2019. We are also praying for Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Timothy Woods.
DAY 1: Pray for our students to know, grow in, and trust in Christ this year. Pray for them to know Christ more deeply, one step at a time.
DAY 2: Pray for our students to take advantage of opportunities to influence friends, classmates, and school staff to know and grow in Christ. Pray they would be bold in displaying and declaring the gospel to others.
DAY 3: Pray for teachers and administrators to have wisdom, skill, sensitivity, patience, and endurance as they help students learn and grow.
DAY 4: Pray for our students to grow in knowledge, maturity, and ability as they prepare themselves to achieve God’s purposes for their lives.
DAY 5: Pray for the right amount of rest for students and staff. Pray for students and staff to grow in self-discipline.
DAY 6: Pray for parents as they guide, encourage, and support their students this year. Pray they would be able to guide them toward strong faith in Christ.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for God to mobilize Brook Hills to reach globally in 2019. Making disciples of Jesus among all nations is the mission of our faith family, and we praise God for all the opportunities He has provided for our Church to engage the nations. After every service on Sunday we recite the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and as a faith family we want to be obedient to God. This week we ask you to pray and ask the question, “how will you serve among the nations in 2019”? Pray for God to show you where He wants to use you specifically and to give you a spirit to GO and make His name known to the Nations. For more information about how to get involved visit brookhills.org/missions.
DAY 1: Praise God for the opportunities He has given The Church at Brook Hills to make His name known globally. Pray for God to continue to give us these opportunities and for us to be obedient.
DAY 2: Pray for God to continue to use our Church Planting Teams in East Asia, Central Asia, and North Africa to establish His church among hard to reach people groups that do not have access to the gospel.
DAY 3: Pray for our long-term missionaries and for God to strengthen, sustain, and use them and their families for His glory. Pray for God to call others to go and serve long-term as well.
DAY 4: We are approaching a season where we send out many for short-term mission trips. Pray for those going on these trips to use the time they have in these places to make His name known and for people to be saved.
DAY 5: Each year we send out mid-term missionaries to serve anywhere from 2 months - 2 years. Pray for God to continue to call out more college students, singles, and families to serve in this capacity so we can continue to strengthen the long-term disciple-making work we are apart of.
DAY 6: Pray for our Global Team as they lead and serve our faith family to make disciples of Jesus among all nations.

Glorious Day
Verse 1
I was buried beneath my shame
Who could carry that kind of weight
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Verse 2
I was breathing but not alive
All my failures I tried to hide
It was my tomb 'til I met You
Chorus
('Cause when) You called my name (and)
I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
You called my name (and) I ran out of that grave
Out of the darkness into Your glorious day
Verse 3
Now Your mercy has saved my soul
Now Your freedom is all that I know
The old made new Jesus when I met You
Bridge
I needed rescue my sin was heavy
But chains break at the weight of Your glory
I needed shelter I was an orphan
Now You call me a citizen of Heaven
When I was broken You were my healing
Now Your love is the air that I'm breathing
I have a future my eyes are open
Christ is Enough
Verse 1
Christ is my reward and all of my devotion
Now there's nothing in this world
That could ever satisfy
Through every trial my soul will sing
No turning back I've been set free
Chorus
Christ is enough for me
Christ is enough for me
Everything I need is in You
Everything I need
Verse 2
Christ my all in all the joy of my salvation
And this hope will never fail
Heaven is our home
Through every storm my soul will sing
Jesus is here to God be the glory
Bridge 1
I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back no turning back
Bridge 2
The cross before me the world behind me
No turning back no turning back
His Mercy is More
Verse 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Chorus
Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Man Of Sorrows
Man of sorrows Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Sent of heaven God's own Son
To purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones
Who nailed Him to that tree
Now my debt is paid
It is paid in full
By the precious blood
That my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin
Has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
See the stone is rolled away
Behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised
He's risen from the grave
Before the Throne of God Above
Verse 1
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea
A great High Priest whose name is love
Who ever lives and pleads for me
My name is graven on His hands
My name is written on His heart
I know that while in heav’n He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart
Verse 2
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me
Verse 3
Behold Him there, the risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless Righteousness
The great unchangeable I AM
The King of glory and of grace
One with Himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ my Savior and my God
With Christ my Savior and my God
