Pray for the Church
Praise God for all the ways He has worked in and through our lives and our church over this past year. Ask Him to grow our joy in response to all He has done, continues to do, and will do in the future. Pray for Him to help us all faithfully follow Him wherever He may lead us in 2019.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for Christ Health Center, a health clinic in Woodlawn that demonstrates the love and power of Jesus Christ by providing excellent, affordable healthcare for the uninsured and participating in community development. Christ Health Center exists to see the sick made well and the well made whole, giving patients access to the very best in primary care, dental services, and professional counseling as well as medication therapy management through an on-site pharmacy. We are also praying for Church of the Highlands and Pastor Chris Hodges.
DAY 1: Pray for the gospel to be clearly presented and received by every patient and person who comes in contact with this work.
DAY 2: Pray for God to supernaturally heal patients in a way that surpasses the capabilities of medicine.
DAY 3: Pray for the communities the patients call home—pray they would know safety, peace, righteousness, and joy.
DAY 4: Pray for patients who are really struggling, pray they would have enough to eat, a warm place to sleep, and enough to share.
DAY 5: Pray for the new behavioral health facility, for God to provide in every way so they may be generous with all.
DAY 6: Pray for the staff and volunteers, for God to protect their unity and add the right people at the right time to keep the heart of the work pure. Pray for the team to enjoy the labor God has called them to and not grow weary in doing good.
Pray for the World
This week, as we celebrate our final week of the Global Offering, we praise God for how He is calling out individuals and families from among us to go to the nations. The Global Offering is how we primarily send, support, and sustain our members who are working in other contexts.
