Pray for the Church
Praise God for our spiritual adoption into His family. Ask God to develop within us a deep value for all lives. Pray for unity among the diverse family of God. Pray for those you know or will encounter who are not yet in God’s family to see their need for Him and His love for them.
Pray for the City
Since 1984, the third Sunday in January has been nationally observed by members of the pro-life community as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. We are joining hundreds of thousands of others across the U.S. praying this week for the lives of the unborn and for the intrinsic value of all human life from the moment of conception to death. We are also praying for Hunter Street Baptist Church and Pastor Buddy Gray.
DAY 1: Pray for the women in our city and across the nation who are pregnant, that they will grasp the immeasurable value of the child they are carrying as created in the image of God, and that God would give them the strength and courage to choose life for their child.
DAY 2: Pray for the Church to stand in the gap for the unborn, the most defenseless of God’s children, and to make disciples among the parents of the unborn and those gifted through adoption.
DAY 3: Pray for elected offcials and medical professionals to experience conversion of mind and heart to value and seek justice for the unborn, and that court decisions that permit the destruction of the unborn will be permanently reversed.
DAY 4: Pray for men and women who are mourning the loss of a child to abortion. Pray the gentle and merciful love of God in Christ would heal their innermost being so that they might know repentance, mercy, and peace.
DAY 5: Pray for Sav-A-Life, Lifeline, Pathways Counseling Services, Her Choice, and other pregnancy resource centers in our city and nation that offer free resources, education, support, and counseling to couples facing crisis pregnancies.
DAY 6: Pray for the body of Christ in Birmingham to truly grasp what it means to be “Pro-Life,” actively defending the Biblical truth that all human life is made in the image of God holding significant value and therefore is worthy of justice and mercy.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our Brook Hills Member Organization Lifeline UnAdopted. The Church at Brook Hills specifically partners with UnAdopted in Liberia giving orphans from a network of seventeen different orphanages an opportunity to participate in the REAP camp. The REAP camp was created to have a gospel-centered life skills camp for vulnerable youth and young adults. Camp participants receive career guidance, hands on learning opportunities, and Biblical teaching that prepare them for the transition from life in an orphanage to life on their own where they must provide for themselves. Through the camps, older orphans are given the opportunity to hear the gospel, learn life skills, develop career awareness, and receive education that will sustain them and offer a healthy transition into productive adulthood. For more information about Lifeline UnAdopted visit unadopted.org.
DAY 1: Destiny Newon leads the REAP camp for life skills training. Pray for God to sustain Destiny and give him wisdom as he leads in the church, at the REAP camp, and in his family.
DAY 2: Thank God for the students who will attend the REAP camp this year. Pray for God to open their hearts to the gospel so they can be saved.
DAY 3: One of UnAdopted’s goal at the camp is to equip students with skills needed to transition into productive adulthood. Pray for camp attendees to be eager to learn, persistent to grow in knowledge, and disciplined to persevere as they refine the skills they have learned.
DAY 4: The Liberian church is strong and growing. Pray for the church to persevere by God’s grace and be obedient to serve their neighbor and share the gospel with those without hope of Christ.
DAY 5: Liberia has suffered greatly with generations of war, famine, and poverty. As a result there are many orphans living in Liberia. Pray for the orphanage leaders as they care for and raise the children God has entrusted to them. Pray for REAP to be a blessing to these caregivers as they see students grow and develop.
DAY 6: Pray for the leadership at Lifeline UnAdopted, Destiny, and the REAP camp staff to rely on the Holy Spirit’s guidance as they lead.

Bridge
The grave could not ignore it
When all of heaven's roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
The world could not ignore it
When all the saints are roaring
Hell where is your victory
Death where is your sting
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive (oh)
Hallelujah He’s alive
Hallelujah for the Cross
Verse 1

My Savior went courageously
And there He bled and died for me

And on that day the world was changed
A final perfect lamb was slain
Let earth and heaven now proclaim
Hallelujah for the cross
Chorus
Hallelujah for the war He fought
Love has won death has lost

What good I've done could never save

But all my chains fell to the ground
When Jesus' blood came flowing down
Hallelujah for the cross

And when I breathe my final breath
I'll have no need to fear that rest
This hope will guide me into death

Lamb of God

Acquainted with our sorrow
To trade the debt we owe
Your suff'ring for our freedom

It was my death You died I am raised to life
Hallelujah the Lamb of God

My shame upon Your shoulders
The pow'r of sin undone
The cross for my salvation

There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love
How Deep the Father's Love for Us
Verse 1
How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory
Verse 2
Behold the Man upon a cross
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
Verse 3
I will not boast in anything
No gifts no pow’r no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Jesus Thank You
Verse 1
The myst’ry of the cross I cannot comprehend
The agonies of Calvary
You the perfect Holy One crushed Your Son
Who drank the bitter cup reserved for me
Chorus
Your blood has washed away my sin
Jesus thank You
The Father's wrath completely satisfied
Jesus thank You
Once Your enemy now seated at Your table
Jesus thank You
Verse 2
By Your perfect sacrifice I've been brought near
Your enemy You've made Your friend
Pouring out the riches of Your glorious grace
Your mercy and Your kindness know no end
Bridge
Lover of my soul I want to live for You
