Praise God for revealing Himself and His Word to His children. Ask Him to give us, as individuals and as a faith family, a deep desire to know and understand His Word. Praise God for displaying His character through His Word. Praise God for the truth that His Word does not return void, but accomplishes His purpose in our hearts. Ask Him to grant us all hearts that are quick to obey and worship God alone. Ask God to transform us more into His likeness as we read, study, and proclaim His Word.

We are praying for Renew Hope, an evangelistic outreach to prisons across the state of Alabama this week, January 22-26. Each year this event brings hundreds of volunteers, evangelists, and musicians from all over the United States to carry the gospel message to thousands of incarcerated men and women in Alabama’s prison system. We are also praying for Church of the Highlands and Pastor Chris Hodges.

DAY 1: Pray for unity and safety for the 400 plus volunteers that have gathered in Birmingham and across our state this week to spread the gospel in the Alabama prison system. Pray for the hearts of these volunteers to be in tune to the Holy Spirit and that gospel threads would be woven throughout their conversations.

DAY 2: Pray for Brook Hills member Jeremy Miller who will be filling a dual role this year as the Northern Regional Coordinator as well as the team leader for the ministry team at St Clair Correctional. Pray for God to give him strength and wisdom in all situations.

DAY 3: Pray for the ministry team at St Clair Correctional. Pray for safety as they enter cell blocks to interact with those who are incarcerated. Pray for peace among the team and wisdom as they share the gospel and sow seeds into the hearts of men.

DAY 4: Pray for God to prepare the hearts of the men and women who are incarcerated. Pray those incarcerated would be open to the gospel and trust in Jesus for their salvation.

DAY 5: Pray for the evening worship services in various prisons, for uneventful entry into the facilities for the musicians and evangelists.
Pray for God’s word to be spoken with clarity and for His Truth to change hearts.

DAY 6: Pray for Jeremy Miller and the other chaplains across the state as they continue to follow up with new believers and those
interested in knowing more about following Christ.

This week we are praying for Brook Hills Member Organization Lantern Vision. Lantern Vision was created to help illuminate the story and work of Christians across the world. Their main focus and goal is to collect and tell stories of how God is working around the world to help support mission organizations, churches, and individuals who are engaging the world with the gospel. DAY 1: Lantern Vision is led by Brook Hills member Nathan Troost. Pray for God to continue to give wisdom and guidance to Nathan
as he leads Lantern Vision.

DAY 2: Praise God for Lantern Vision and how he is using Nathan and his team to proclaim the good news of Christ in the lives of people around the world. Pray for God to continue to sustain Lantern Vision so many more can hear of his story.

DAY 3: Pray for the stories that Lantern Vision produces to mobilize the church to participate in global missions around the world and
ultimately that people would be saved and churches would be planted.

DAY 4: Pray for the men and women whose stories are being told. Praise God for his faithfulness to save individuals from their sin.
Pray for their stories to be used to make the gospel known to others who will see and hear it.

DAY 5: Pray for Nathan and his wife Flori. Pray for the Lord to glorify himself in their family and through their ministry together.

DAY 6: There are many stories to tell. Pray for Nathan and his team to be sensitive to God leading to capture the right stories that
will honor and glorify the name of Christ among all nations.
