Pray for the Church
Praise God the Father for sending the Holy Spirit to empower His Church. Ask the Spirit to guide our understanding of God’s Word as we study His role in our lives. Pray we will all grow in our reliance upon and understanding of the Holy Spirit. Pray for the Spirit to empower each of us individually and corporately to fulfill our role in God’s mission. Pray we will all be bold in our witness to the saving power of Jesus. Pray for God to lead people to repentance and faith in response to our bold proclamation of the gospel.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Renew Hope taking place January 24-28 in multiple Alabama prisons. Each year this event brings hundreds of volunteers, evangelists, and musicians from all over the United States to carry the Gospel message to thousands of incarcerated men and women in Alabama’s prison system. We are also praying for Ambassador For Christ Church, and Pastor Lister Budgess.
Day 1: Pray for unity and safety for the 400 plus volunteers that have gathered in Birmingham and across our state this week to spread the Gospel in the Alabama prison system. Pray that the hearts of these volunteers would be in tune to the Holy Spirit and that gospel threads would be woven throughout their conversations.
Day 2: Pray for Jeremy Miller who will be filling a dual role this year as the Northern Regional Coordinator as well as the team leader for the ministry team at St Clair Correctional. Pray that God would give strength and wisdom in all situations.
Day 3: Pray for the ministry team at St Clair Correctional. Pray for safety as they enter cell blocks to interact with those who are incarcerated. Pray for peace among the team and wisdom as they share the Gospel and sow seeds into the hearts of men.
Day 4: Pray that God would prepare the hearts of the men and women who are incarcerated. Pray that those incarcerated would be open to the Gospel and trust in Jesus for their salvation.
Day 5: Pray for the evening worship services, for uneventful entry into the facilities for the musicians and evangelists. Pray for God’s word to be spoken with clarity and for His Truth to change hearts.
Day 6: Pray for Jeremy Miller and the other Chaplains across the State as they continue to follow up with all the new believers and those interested in knowing more about following Christ.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Field Partners, Greg and Beth B. serving in North Africa. Greg and Beth serve as our main partner for mobilizing medical professionals to serve among unreached people groups. Their ministry allows believers to engage unreached people groups with the gospel through local churches by providing access to medical care and training local believers to follow-up for long-term disciple-making. Join us this week in praying for Greg and Beth B. If you are a medical professional and are interested in using your skills in an unreached context, please contact . We are also praying for our Short-Term team serving in North Africa.
Day 1: Praise God for the opportunities he has given Greg and Beth and their children to work and serve in a unique way among unreached people groups. Pray for God to give them strength to continue the work he has started with their family.
Day 2: Pray for Greg this week as he leads our Brook Hills Short-Term team as they serve together in medical clinics. Pray for gospel conversations and the opportunities to show the love of Christ with patients.
Day 3: Pray for the Lord to continue to provide Greg and his team access into unreached communities.
Day 4: Greg’s team opened a new language school this year and they are currently training teachers and employees. Pray for the training to be received well and for God to use the language school as a tool to engage many people with the gospel.
Day 5: Pray for God to give Greg wisdom as he leads his family and ministry. Pray for a healthy balance of all these things for maximum kingdom impact.

He washed it white as snow
He washed it white as snow
