Pray for the Church
Praise God for His faithfulness toward us and ask Him to develop faithfulness within us as a people in our worship of Him. Ask
God to help us maintain our focus on the gospel and it’s effect on our lives and world. Pray for God to unite us together as a faith family in our worship of Him and to teach us to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for our partner, Oak Tree Ministries (oaktreeministries.org), a nonprofit laboring with the families of the Marks Village Housing Community to fulfill God’s promise to raise up for Himself “oak trees of righteousness” for the display of His splendor. Oak Tree Ministries seeks to pave the way for children, teens, and adults in Marks Village to be reconciled to God and others. We are also praying for Mount Mariah Baptist Church, Gate City, and Pastor Darryl Lee.
DAY 1: Pray for the Bible Club, for many children and adults to come to know Christ as a result of this ministry every Sunday, and that many more would come and be discipled to know, enjoy, and serve Christ among their peers.
DAY 2: Pray for the staff of Oak Tree Ministries to lead well by following Christ. Pray they would never cease to pray and seek wisdom from God. Pray for the volunteers, for God to give them all they need as they selflessly serve. Ask God to raise up even more volunteers.
DAY 3: Pray for the children and adults in the weekly Reading Club. Pray for the kids to see the gifts that God has given them and desire to use them for His Glory.
DAY 4: Pray for the women who live in Marks Village. Pray they would love the Lord their God with their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
DAY 5: Pray for the teenagers in Marks Village, for the Lord to radically transform their hearts and draw them to Himself.
DAY 6: Pray for the men living in Marks Village. Ask God to open their hearts to the need for the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. Pray these men begin to accept the leadership of the families they create
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Mid-Termer, Julia B. serving in North Africa. Julia was sent out from The Church at Brook Hills last year to serve for two years as the Principal of an international primary school in North Africa. Julia has been serving the students and staff this last school year in order for many of them to be in country as Long-Term workers. Join us as we pray for Julia and the impact she is having by serving in North Africa.
DAY 1: Julia lives in a city with a population of over nine million people, most of whom who do not know Christ. Pray for God to give Julia many opportunities to share the gospel with her friends and neighbors.
DAY 2: Pray for Julia to be a light in her community and in her apartment complex. Pray for God to open doors for Julia to host friends in her home so that she can share the gospel and build deep meaningful friendships.
DAY 3: Julia has many duties each day serving at her school. Pray for God to give Julia wisdom and discernment as she leads the staff and students at her school. Pray for God to use Julia to make His name known at her school.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide for Julia in every way. Pray for Julia to trust God and to be confident in what He is accomplishing through her life.
DAY 5: Julia is contributing to an incredible work of God in North Africa. Pray for God to continue to move in the hearts and souls of men and women across Julia’s city. Pray for the church to continue to grow and for more people to be saved.
DAY 6: Pray for God to call others to fill those roles and strengthen the school that is in the heart of the international community there in Julia’s city.
