Pray for the Church
Praise Jesus for His authority and pray we will daily live as His humble, loyal, and obedient followers. Pray we will embrace the task of making disciples of all nations as the primary focus of our lives. Ask for God’s guidance in where we each should be going as individuals to proclaim the gospel. Pray for all of us to live with a sense of urgency in regards to fulfilling the Great Commission.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the Brook Hills Hispanic Congregation and their ministry to one another, to our city, and to the nations. Our Spanish-speaking congregation meets for worship in Modular 17 at 11:00am on Sunday mornings. They are members of the Church at Brook Hills.
DAY 1: Pray for the Hispanic Congregation leaders, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to have God’s wisdom to oversee their many avenues of ministry: evangelism, discipleship, small groups, worship, and missions.
DAY 2: Pray for God to use our Hispanic Congregation to make an impact in Birmingham, especially among Spanish-speaking individuals and families, through outreach initiatives such as soccer and neighborhood small groups.
DAY 3: Pray for God to raise up leaders to meet their goal of starting five new Spanish-speaking small groups in new neighborhoods within the next six months.
DAY 4: Pray that during this time of uncertainty for many immigrants, members of our Hispanic congregation would put their trust in God for protection and guidance and would remain focused on their mission to glorify God by making disciples of every language, tribe, and nation.
DAY 5: Pray for our Hispanic Congregation to boldly and passionately share the gospel with the Spanish-speaking community within our city.
DAY 6: Pray for God to continue to add to the Hispanic Congregation and for the members to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for God to mobilize The Church at Brook Hills to reach globally. Global Missions is a huge part of our faith community here and we praise God for all the opportunities He has provided for our Church to reach out to the nations. After every service on Sundays we recite the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and as a faith family we want to truly live this out. This week we ask you to pray about ways that you can participate in Global Mission. Whether it is going on a Short-Term mission trip or dedicating yourself to Long-Term mission, God has called us all to be Disciples and to make His name known. Pray that Christ will reveal to you ways that you can get involved with Global Missions and that He will give you a spirit to GO and make His name known to the Nations. For more information about how to get involved visit brookhills.org/global.
DAY 1: Praise God for the opportunities He has given The Church at Brook Hills to reach out and make His name known globally. Pray for God to continue to give us these opportunities and that we will be obedient to act in them.
DAY 2: Pray for God to continue to use our Church Planting Teams in East Asia, Central Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East to establish his church among hard to reach people groups that do not have access to the gospel.
DAY 3: Pray for our long-term missionaries and for God to strengthen, sustain, and use them and their families for His glory. We currently have 34 missionaries on the field. Also pray for God to call others to go and serve long-term as well.
DAY 4: We are approaching a season where we send out many for short-term mission trips. Pray those going on these trips will use the time they have in these places to make His name known and that people will be saved.
DAY 5: We also send out mid-term missionaries on the field from anywhere to 2 months to 2 years. Pray for God to continue to equip those who feel called with a spirit of wisdom to share the gospel to the nations.
DAY 6: Praise God that He has provided The Church at Brook Hills with the desire to pursue his name among the nations and that He has given us a staff to lead these endeavors. Pray for our Global Missions staff. Pray for God to equip them with the wisdom and tools they need to serve our faith family well for the sake of the gospel among all nations.

Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
O Praise the Name
Verse 1
I cast my mind to Calvary
Where Jesus bled and died for me
I see His wounds His hands His feet
My Savior on that cursed tree
Verse 2
His body bound and drenched in tears
They laid Him down in Joseph's tomb
The entrance sealed by heavy stone
Messiah still and all alone
Chorus
O praise the Name of the Lord our God
O praise His Name forevermore
For endless days we will sing Your praise
O Lord O Lord our God
Verse 3
Then on the third at break of dawn
The Son of heaven rose again
O trampled death where is your sting
The angels roar for Christ the King
Verse 4
He shall return in robes of white
The blazing sun shall pierce the night
And I will rise among the saints
My gaze transfixed on Jesus' face
All Creatures of Our God and King

Let all things their Creator bless
And worship Him in humbleness
