Praise God for revealing our sin to us, convicting us of our sins, and redeeming us from our sin. Pray for a God to deliver each and all of us from the many temptations to sin. Pray we will all value nothing above our loving obedience of God. Pray our lives, along with our words, will boldly reveal the existence and character of God. Ask God to help us understand what it means biblically to fear Him. Pray we will play a role in one another’s lives where we help hold one another accountable and call one another to repentance and faithfulness.

This week we are praying for The WellHouse, a Christ-centered organization that seeks to rescue and restore victims of human trafficking. The mission of The WellHouse is to provide a safe, residential environment to sexually exploited women, offering spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical support in order that they might become self-sufficient and recognize their true worth.

Day 1: Pray for individuals in the community, nation, and worldwide who do not yet understand the personal and societal destruction that is caused by human trafficking. Pray that churches and individuals would be awakened to the reality of this great evil in our own city and that they would be introduced to the mission and ministry of The WellHouse.

Day 2: The WellHouse is currently only able to serve adult women. Pray that God would open the door for this ministry to be able to serve children under the age of 18 who are being trafficked.

Day 3: Pray for The WellHouse fundraiser, An Evening in Africa, at the Birmingham Zoo on April 24. Pray that they are blessed with sponsors who are passionate about what The WellHouse is doing in the lives of trafficked women.

Day 4: Pray for God’s protection over victims who have not yet reached out for rescue or who have been otherwise unable to escape their circumstances. Pray that they may see God’s light in the midst of such a dark time.

Day 5: Praise God for providing a new transitional living home for The WellHouse. With this new home, the ministry is able to reach even more women!

Day 6: Pray for the house parents living in each of The WellHouse group homes and for the volunteers who take the women to their medical appointments, provide mentorship, organize crafts and game nights, etc. Pray that God would provide them with wisdom, guidance, and discernment as they seek to better love, serve and understand the victims of human trafficking.

This week we are praying for Brook Hills Long-Termer Jessica S. who serves on our North Africa Church Planting Team. We have had the privilege to have Jessica here in the states with us for a few months. Sunday will be the last time she worships with us before returning to North Africa later this week. Day 1: Jessica will travel at the end of this week back to North Africa and move into a new home. Pray for traveling mercies and for a smooth transition back into life there.

Day 2: Thank the Father for calling Jessica to North Africa a few years ago. Pray for God to continue to provide everything she needs to be obedient and bold for the sake of the gospel.

Day 3: Pray for Jessica as she says goodbye to family and friends here. Pray for grace as she prepares her heart for the next phase of her time in North Africa.

Day 4: Jessica has many deep friendships in North Africa. Pray for those friends to receive her when she returns and to pick up where they left off. Pray for Jessica to share what she has learned and experienced while being back in the states and for God to bring those friends to Christ.

Day 5: There are new teammates who have joined our Church Planting Team since Jessica has been away. Pray for unity as they are all together for the first time in a few weeks and as they get to know one another as a team.

Day 6: Pray for God to use our Church Planting Team to make Christ known to the Arundo people. Pray for God to save and for this year a church to be planted among the Arundo.
