Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of His Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide our understanding as we study together the Gospel of Mark. Pray we will all grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ. Pray for those who do not know Jesus to come to know Him through faith. Pray all of our lives will continue to be transformed by the gospel.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Red Mountain Grace (redmountaingrace.com), a nonprofit organization dedicated as a place of refuge for out-of-town patients and caregivers that are receiving extended medical treatment in Birmingham. An uncompromising, Christ-centered organization, Red Mountain Grace is available to caregivers and patients regardless of age or reason for hospitalization. Red Mountain Grace was founded by Brook Hills member, Jason Carroll. We are also praying for Briarwood Presbyterian and Pastor Harry Reeder.
DAY 1: Pray the gospel will be known and lives will be changed through the work and words of volunteers and staff at Red Mountain Grace.
DAY 2: Pray for the guests, that they may find comfort and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ as they walk through the valley of medical trials and sometimes death.
DAY 3: Pray for God to grant the Red Mountain Grace leadership wisdom, courage, and strength to guide the organization to find His perfect will.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide more apartments through owners in Birmingham so that more patients and families can see the gospel at work.
DAY 5: Pray for God to increase their partnership with new apartment adopters through churches, businesses, and individuals in the community.
DAY 6: Pray for God to lead, strengthen and encourage Denise Booth, Executive Director and Debbie Tidwell, patient coordinator, as they work the front lines of Red Mountain Grace.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Long-Term workers Bill and Mandi serving in the Middle East. Bill and Mandi were sent out from Brook Hills a few years ago and are part of our Middle East Church Planting Team. They were recently stateside to have a baby and will be returning to the Middle East at the beginning of April. We are also praying for our Short-Term teams serving in Atlanta, Cuba, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic.
DAY 1: Bill and Mandi just welcomed their first child into the world. Praise God for the gift of a daughter. Pray for Bill and Mandi as they raise her in the Lord’s way, and for the child’s growth and health in the years to come.
DAY 2: Bill and Mandi will be headed back to their city soon. Pray they will have a smooth transition back home and for God’s grace as they adjust to life with a new baby.
DAY 3: Pray for the relationships/friendships that Bill and Mandi have formed in their city to grow and deepen. Pray for God to use these relationships to bring people to Him and be saved.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide Mandi with friends who are believers and who can invest in her as a new mom.
DAY 5: Pray for Bill’s job and the relationships that he has made there. Pray that God will continue to open doors for there to be gospel conversations.
DAY 6: Pray for God to strengthen the work of our Middle East Church Planting team. Praise God for how He is using them to make His name known. Pray for God to soften the hearts of men and women Bill and Mandi are sharing with and save them.

Jesus Firm Foundation
Verse 1
How firm a foundation you saints of the Lord
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word
What more can He say than to you He has said
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled
Fear not He is with us O be not dismayed
For He is our God our Sustainer and Strength
He'll be our Defender and cause us to stand
Upheld by His merciful almighty hand
Chorus
How firm our foundation
How sure our salvation
And we will not be shaken
Jesus firm foundation
Verse 2
The soul that is trusting in Jesus as Lord
Will press on enduring the darkest of storm
And though even hell should endeavor to shake
He'll never no never no never forsake
He'll never no never no never forsake
Bridge
Age to age He stands faithful to the end
All may fade away but He will remain
He will remain
Jesus Son of God
Verse 1
You came down from Heaven's throne
This earth You formed was not Your home
A love like this the world had never known
A crown of thorns to mock Your name
Forgiveness fell upon Your face
A love like this the world had never known
Chorus
On the altar of our praise
Let there be no higher name
Jesus Son of God
You laid down Your perfect life
You are the sacrifice
Jesus Son of God
You are Jesus Son of God
Verse 2
You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
And a love like this the world has never known
'Cause You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
A love like this the world has never known
Bridge
Be lifted higher than all You've overcome
Your name be louder than any other song
There is no power that can come against Your love
The cross was enough
The cross was enough
Beneath the Waters (I Will Rise)
Verse 1
This is my revelation
Christ Jesus crucified
Salvation through repentance
At the cross on which He died
Verse 2
Now here my absolution
Forgiveness for my sin
And I sink beneath the waters
That Christ was buried in
Chorus 1
I will rise
I will rise
As Christ was raised to life
Now in Him
Now in Him I live
Verse 3
I stand a new creation
Baptised in blood and fire
No fear of condemnation
By faith I'm justified
Bridge
I rise as You are risen
Declare Your rule and reign
My life confess Your Lordship
And glorify Your Name
Your word it stands eternal
Your kingdom knows no end
Your praise goes on forever
And on and on again
No pow'r can stand against You
No curse assault Your throne
No one can steal Your glory
For it is Yours alone
I stand to sing Your praises
I stand to testify
For I was dead in my sin
Chorus 2
But now I rise
I will rise
As Christ was raised to life
Now in Him
Now in Him I live
Come Thou Fount
Verse 1
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the name! I’m fixed upon it
Name of Thy redeeming love
Verse 2
Hitherto Thy love has blessed me
Thou hast brought me to this place
And I know Thy hand will bring me
Safely home by Thy good grace
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
Verse 3
Oh to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above
Verse 4
Oh that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face
Full arrayed in blood-washed linen
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry
Bring Thy promises to pass
For I know Thy pow’r will keep me
Till I’m home with Thee at last
Christ is Enough
Verse 1
Christ is my reward and all of my devotion
Now there's nothing in this world
That could ever satisfy
Through every trial my soul will sing
No turning back I've been set free
Chorus
Christ is enough for me
Christ is enough for me
Everything I need is in You
Everything I need
Verse 2
Christ my all in all the joy of my salvation
And this hope will never fail
Heaven is our home
Through every storm my soul will sing
Jesus is here to God be the glory
Bridge 1
I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back no turning back
Bridge 2
The cross before me the world behind me
No turning back no turning back
