Pray for the Church
Pray for God’s blessing upon our efforts with Rock the Block this Summer. Ask Him to lead Small Groups to host Rock the Blocks in their neighborhoods and individuals to join with Small Groups as helpers with those Rock the Blocks. Pray for God to prepare children and their families in our neighborhoods to be open to the gospel.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Hearts in Hands, Inc. (heartsinhands.org), a local non-profit ministry founded by members of Brook Hills that provides home repair services and wheelchair ramp construction for poor and elderly people in the greater Birmingham area. Hearts in Hands strives to engage the poor with the gospel while meeting their physical needs. We are also praying for Shades Valley Community Church and Pastor Jonathan Haefs.
DAY 1: Pray for Hearts in Hands to remain steadfast in their mission to exalt the name of Jesus Christ in Birmingham.
DAY 2: Pray for God to provide wisdom to the Hearts in Hands leadership team as they seek to fill voids on the board and among the officers.
DAY 3: Pray for word to spread about this ministry so that more people in need can encounter the love of God through the ministry of Hearts in Hands.
DAY 4: Pray for God to send men and women willing to serve with Hearts in Hands through prayer and through discipleship.
DAY 5: Pray for God to provide skilled laborers with handyman experience or the ability to lead projects to serve regularly as volunteers.
DAY 6: Pray for those who are impacted by the ministry of Hearts in Hands. Pray for God to soften their hearts to the gospel and draw them to Himself.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Mid-Termer Nia M., serving in Central Asia. Nia was sent out a few months ago and will be serving there for one year. Her goal is to support and serve alongside Long-Term workers there who are doing Church Planting work among Unreached People Groups. Join us as we lift up our sister serving in Central Asia.
DAY 1: Nia and her teammate Megan have been intentional by setting goals on how they spend their time and engage people in their city. The Lord has blessed this and they are making real strides towards accomplishing those goals. Pray for Nia to be faithful in balancing her time each day so God can maximize every minute He has her in Central Asia for His glory.
DAY 2: Nia serves the Long-Term team in Central Asia by teaching/homeschooling the children of the members on the team. Praise God for how He has equipped Nia with a background in education and how He is using her to serve others in this unique way.
DAY 3: Nia and her teammate have made many new friends in their city, and they have become especially close to two women. One of those friends has welcomed the idea of reading the Word with Nia. The other is interested in visiting church with Nia. Praise God for how He is working in the hearts of these women. Pray that God would continue to soften their hearts to hear and receive the Word.
DAY 4: Nia and her teamate have a new language tutor they meet with every week. She is a believer and such an encouragement to Nia and her teammate. Pray for their language tutor to continue to grow in her faith. Pray also for Nia’s language learning efforts to be fruitful so she can converse with locals who don’t know English.
DAY 5: Nia attends a local fellowship of believers. Pray for this group of believers as they hunger for deep and solid teaching, mentorship, and growth. Pray for God to preserve their faith and give them perseverance when things get hard.
DAY 6: Nia is discovering that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few and she is wrestling with God’s calling for her future. Please pray with her as she thinks and prays through the questions and realities set before her. Pray for God to confirm in her His desires and plans for the future.

Bridge
There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love
Man of Sorrows (Hallelujah! He Has Saved Me)
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we
Spotless Lamb of God was He
“Full atonement!” can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Hallelujah, He has saved me
Sin and death shall reign no more
Christ has made a way for sinners
Hallelujah, what a Savior
Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished!” was His cry
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew His song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
