Pray for the Church
Praise God for His sovereignty over all history. Ask Him to grant us strength and perseverance to remain faithful when our faith is challenged. Pray He will empower us to make the most of every opportunity we have for gospel advancement. Ask God to grow our understanding of His Word, and that our grasp of it will lead to communicating it clearly. Pray for God to lead us to people with “ears to hear,” that will be receptive to the gospel. Pray God will receive great glory through our ongoing efforts to make disciples of all nations.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for the Local Disciple-Making ministries at Brook Hills. This includes Preschool Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, College Ministry, Young Singles, and Adults. For more information about each of these areas of ministry, visit brookhills.org/local. We are also praying for FBC Trussville and Pastor Buddy Champion.
Day 1: Pray for God to continue to assemble a faithful team of regular volunteers and staff in Children’s Ministry. Pray especially that God will raise up families and Small Groups to reach out with the gospel to children throughout our city through the summer Rock The Block initiative.
Day 2: Pray for students to manage time and stress well as they learn to juggle busy schedules and make wise decisions about time. Pray for students to form healthy relationships at school so they can share the gospel through those relationships.
Day 3: Pray for college students in Birmingham to plug into authentic Christian community, to grow in their walks with Christ, and to have boldness in living out the gospel on their campuses.
Day 4: Pray for student and adult leaders serving in College Ministry to have wisdom and discernment in discipling college students. Pray for God to raise up more adult leaders who will disciple college students.
Day 5: Pray for young singles (20s/30s) to look to Christ for their satisfaction and joy, to use their singleness to serve the church and the nations, and to make life choices that honor Christ. Pray for purity as they date and pursue marriage.
Day 6: Pray for new Small Groups to start and for every individual in our Faith Family to get connected into a Small Group community and to look for opportunities to make disciples wherever they are.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Rekindle Children’s Hope, serving in Cameroon. RCH is reaching many orphaned, disadvantaged, and abandoned children in villages throughout Cameroon. Their goal is to serve both the physical and spiritual needs of the children in their ministry through feeding programs, tuition for school, and after school programs connecting them to a local church effort for discipleship. To learn more about RCH visit, rchafrica.org. We are also praying for our Short-Term team serving in Nepal.
Day 1: RCH currently has 71 children in their after-school program. Pray for these children to come to know Christ and have a personal relationship with Him.
Day 2: Pray for the local volunteers and staff who work with the children at RCH on a daily basis. Pray for God to strengthen their faith as they serve. Pray for God to provide more men to volunteer and mentor the boys at the RCH program.
Day 3: Pray for George Mbunwe, RCH’s in-country program director. Pray for God to give him wisdom and steadfastness to care for the children God has appointed to him.
Day 4: Pray for God to change the hearts and lives of the children RCH is serving so that His name may be exalted among them.
Day 5: Pray for the leadership and board of RCH to have a vision for developing disciples as they care for the children in their program.
Day 6: Praise God for the work He is doing in Cameroon through RCH and the children who are being cared for through the program. Pray for God to give RCH more opportunities to come alongside the local church and care for those in need.

This Is Amazing Grace
Verse 1
Who breaks the power of sin and darkness
Whose love is mighty and so much stronger
The King of Glory the King above all kings
Verse 2
Who shakes the whole earth with holy thunder
Who leaves us breathless in awe and wonder
The King of Glory the King above all kings
Chorus
This is amazing grace
This is unfailing love
That You would take my place
That You would bear my cross
You laid down Your life
That I would be set free
Oh Jesus I sing for all that You've done for me
Verse 3
Who brings our chaos back into order
Who makes the orphan a son and daughter
The King of Glory the King of Glory
Verse 4
Who rules the nations with truth and justice
Shines like the sun in all of its brilliance
The King of Glory the King above all kings
Bridge
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy is the King who conquered the grave
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Worthy worthy worthy
Christ is Risen
Verse 1
Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us
Chorus 1
Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Verse 2
Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim
Bridge
O death where is your sting
O hell where is your victory
O church come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night
Singing O death where is your sting
O hell where is your victory
O church come stand in the light
Our God is not dead He's alive He's alive
All I Have is Christ
Verse 1
I once was lost in darkest night
Yet thought I knew the way
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still
Verse 2
But as I ran my hell-bound race
Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross
And I beheld God's love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace
Chorus
Hallelujah all I have is Christ
Hallelujah Jesus is my life
Verse 3
Now Lord I would be Yours alone
And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me
O Father use my ransomed life
In any way You choose
And let my song forever be
My only boast is You
Man of Sorrows (Hallelujah! He Has Saved Me)
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we
Spotless Lamb of God was He
“Full atonement!” can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Hallelujah, He has saved me
Sin and death shall reign no more
Christ has made a way for sinners
Hallelujah, what a Savior
Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished!” was His cry
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew His song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
