Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for the peace and reconciliation we can only know through Him. Pray for God to comfort all those who are mourning the loss of friends and family members this Memorial Day. Thank God for the service so many render in the defense and protection of liberty. Praise God for the ultimate sacrifice made by Christ on the cross so we might know salvation from our sins.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for our summer Rock the Block outreach. Rock the Block is a 4-day multi-site Backyard Bible Club filled with fun, games, and Bible stories dispersed to neighborhoods throughout the city during the summer. Rock the Block resources are created by our Children’s Ministry and implemented by our faith family and 200 other churches across the nation to engage neighbors and their children with the gospel. You can find out more at brookhills.org/rocktheblock. We are also praying for Faith Presbyterian Church and Pastor Jason Sterling.
DAY 1: Pray we reach, even exceed, our goal of reaching 1,000 boys and girls participating in the Birmingham area at 75 sites.
DAY 2: Pray for extraordinary participation among Brook Hills families and small groups as host families and volunteers (To participate, visit our kiosk in the lobby or brookhills.org/rocktheblock).
DAY 3: Pray for God to give each team a tremendous experience serving together among their neighbors. Pray for new friendships to develop with neighbors who are unchurched through their children’s participation.
DAY 4: Pray for the gospel to be clearly and powerfully communicated. Pray hundreds of boys and girls will respond in genuine saving faith at Rock The Blocks locally and throughout our nation.
DAY 5: Pray for many gospel conversations to come from the connections with neighbors at Rock the Block and afterwards.
DAY 6: Pray for God to be pleased, to bless all of our efforts, and for His presence and work among us, to be evident.
