Pray for the Church
Praise God for the peace and reconciliation we can only know through Him. Pray for God to comfort all those who are mourning the loss of friends and family members this Memorial Day. Thank God for the service so many render in the defense and protection of liberty. Praise God for the ultimate sacrifice made by Christ on the cross so we might know salvation from our sins.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Birmingham Urban Young Life (birmingham.younglife.org/moore). The mission of Urban Young Life is to introduce teens in inner city Birmingham to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Young Life staff and volunteers enter into the world of teenagers and all that matters to them, in order to earn the privilege of talking to them about what matters most of all – the truth about God and His love for them. We are also praying for Zion Springs Baptist Church and Pastor Adam Mixon.
DAY 1: Pray for God to use Birmingham Urban Young Life, in partnership with local churches, to effectively minister to the spiritual, educational, and physical needs of inner city students.
DAY 2: Pray for God to pour out a spirit of adoption on Urban Young Life students in Birmingham for their salvation, that then spreads to their families and communities.
DAY 3: Pray for all Urban Young Life leaders to abide in Jesus so that they bear much fruit and are able to pour out love, wisdom, and truth into teenagers’ lives. Pray especially for Sedrick Moore as he leads this ministry.
DAY 4: Pray for more laborers to be recruited and trained in leadership so that Urban Young Life can enter into more schools in inner city Birmingham this year. Pray for laborers for the new fall initiative at Inglenook Middle School.
DAY 5: Pray for God to provide all of the finances necessary to sustain and develop Urban Young Life on the current campuses of Woodlawn High School and Restoration Academy and on future campuses.
DAY 6: Pray for the June summer camps where about 100 urban students will be introduced to the Gospel and invited to follow Jesus Christ on a daily basis.

Hallelujah for the Cross
Verse 1
Up to the hill of Calvary
My Savior went courageously
And there He bled and died for me
Hallelujah for the cross
And on that day the world was changed
A final perfect lamb was slain
Let earth and heaven now proclaim
Hallelujah for the cross
Chorus
Hallelujah for the war He fought
Love has won death has lost
Hallelujah for the souls He bought
Hallelujah for the cross
Verse 2
What good I've done could never save
My debt too great for deeds to pay
But God my Savior made a way
Hallelujah for the cross
A slave to sin my life was bound
But all my chains fell to the ground
When Jesus' blood came flowing down
Hallelujah for the cross
Verse 3
And when I breathe my final breath
I'll have no need to fear that rest
This hope will guide me into death
Hallelujah for the cross
Stronger
Verse 1
There is Love that came for us
Humbled to a sinner's cross
You broke my shame and sinfulness
You rose again victorious
Verse 2
Faithfulness none can deny
Through the storm and through the fire
There is truth that sets me free
Jesus Christ who lives in me
Chorus
You are stronger
You are stronger
Sin is broken
You have saved me
It is written
Christ is risen
Jesus You are Lord of all
Verse 3
No beginning and no end
You're my hope and my defence
You came to seek and save the lost
You paid it all upon the cross
Bridge
So let Your Name be lifted higher
Be lifted higher
Be lifted higher
(REPEAT 4X)
Death Was Arrested
Verse 1
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began
Verse 2
Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 1
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
Verse 3
Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend Oh
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 2
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
It's Your endless love pouring down on us
You have made us new now life begins with You
Oh yes it does
Verse 4
Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross
Darkness rejoiced as though Heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That's when death was arrested and my life began
That's when death was arrested and my life began

Oh we're free free forever we're free
Come join the song of all the redeemed
Yes we're free free forever amen
When death was arrested and my life began
