This Week
Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for graciously gathering us together in loving fellowship with Him and one another. Ask the Holy Spirit to develop humility and patience within each of us. Pray for God’s protection and deliverance from temptation to sin. Pray for God to grow our love for Him and each other and to spur us on to demonstrations of that love. Pray for strength and endurance in our service to God and in His name. Ask God to continue to make us more and more generous in our support of one another and our ministry together.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for God to work in the lives of the 46,000 internationals living in the Birmingham Metro Area. God has brought people from the least-reached areas of the world right to our doorstep. We are praying for God to use us to reach the internationals we interact with on a daily basis at work, school, and in our neighborhoods, that they might know Christ and make Him known. We are also praying for Iron City Church and Pastor Kameron Pugh.
DAY 1: Praise God for His great love for every tribe, tongue, and nation, made evident in His sovereign work of sending missionaries to the unreached and bringing individuals from hard-to-reach nations right here to our city that they might know Him.
DAY 2: Pray for the thousands of international students enrolled in nearby universities and the exchange students studying in Birmingham area high schools. Pray that their host families, Friendship Partners, and classmates will be willing to seize the opportunities God provides to be witnesses of the gospel.
DAY 3: Pray for God to call out members of our Faith Family to invest in international children and preschoolers who accompany their parents to ESL classes on Thursday nights. Pray for God to use this ministry to introduce children, at a very young age, to His plan for their salvation.
DAY 4: Pray for the Brook Hills Engage Teams as they engage unreached people groups within our city with the gospel. Pray for The Lord of the Harvest to bring growth to the seeds they’ve planted and that they would not grow weary as they pray, labor, and wait for
a harvest.
DAY 5: Pray for the Brook Hills Hispanic Congregation, Pastor Eduardo Torres, and the Hispanic ministry small group leaders as they make disciples among Spanish-speakers in our community, many of whom don’t understand the gospel.
DAY 6: Pray for members of our Faith Family to make disciples of all nations in a local context by being especially mindful and hospitable toward the internationals living among us.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our Brook Hills field partner C.A. serving in the Middle East. C.A. and his team are currently focused on ministering to and serving Syrian refugees who have fled their homeland and are residing in other countries. The need is great as millions of men, women, and children have flooded into neighboring countries in need of basic food, water, and shelter. Join us this week as we pray for our partners who are trying to equip the small local church to care for Syrian refugees.
DAY 1: Praise God for our partner C.A. and his team who are focused on caring for Syrian refugees in need. Pray for wisdom for C.A. to know how best to mobilize, resources, and provide the basic necessities needed for each family.
DAY 2: Pray for the small local church C.A. and his team partner with. As they meet and help refugees, the local church is right there beside them sharing the gospel and the hope of Christ. Ask God to continue to show the local pastor and leaders how their church can care for those in need.
DAY 3: C.A. and his team opened a community center for refugees. This center will help shift efforts from relief to development and will house job-training activities for those who need to find work. Pray for God to use this center as a place of refuge and a place where the hope of the gospel can be shared.
DAY 4: Brook Hills was able to send Mid-Termers and Short-Term teams this past year to serve with C.A.’s team. Pray for God to call out more people from Brook Hills and other fellowships to help continue this work.
DAY 5: Pray for God to sustain C.A. and his team as they diligently work to serve people who are suffering.
DAY 6: Pray for the millions of people whose lives and families have been torn apart to find Jesus as the One who gives true rest and restoration.
Shout Hosanna

To the King of glory and light all praises
To the only Giver of life our Maker
The gates are open wide we worship You

He bought us with His blood our Savior
The cross has overcome we worship You

Shout hosanna He rose from the grave
Come and lift Him up hosanna
Verse 3
Now let the lost be found forgiven
Death could not hold Him down He's risen
So let the saints cry out we worship You
Bridge
The same power that rolled the stone away
The same power alive in us today
King Jesus we call upon Your name no other name
Ending
(Come and lift Him up) Hosanna
(Come and lift Him up) Hosanna
(Come and lift Him up) Hosanna
Jesus Son of God
Verse 1
You came down from Heaven's throne
This earth You formed was not Your home
A love like this the world had never known
A crown of thorns to mock Your name
Forgiveness fell upon Your face
A love like this the world had never known
Chorus
On the altar of our praise
Let there be no higher name
Jesus Son of God
You laid down Your perfect life
You are the sacrifice
Jesus Son of God
You are Jesus Son of God
Verse 2
You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
And a love like this the world has never known
'Cause You took our sin You bore our shame
You rose to life You defeated the grave
A love like this the world has never known
Bridge
Be lifted higher than all You've overcome
Your name be louder than any other song
There is no power that can come against Your love
The cross was enough
The cross was enough
In Christ Alone
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
Bridge
I find my strength I found my hope
I find my help in Christ alone
When fear assails when darkness falls
I found my peace in Christ alone
I give my life I give my all
I sing my song to Christ alone
The King of Kings the Lord of Lords
All heaven sings to Christ alone
To Christ alone
To Christ alone
We Are the Body of Christ
We are the body of the most High
We are the bride of a Savior
And we fall for the King of the kingdom
As we sing the songs of salvation
And we stand for those who cannot stand for themselves
And we love the loveless
And we go where Your light’s not shining
We are the body of Christ
We shine like a city on a hilltop
We boast in the Spirit living in us
And we march on a road leading to freedom
As we reach out our hands to the fallen
And we bring living water to the thirsty and
We live for the One who was and is and is to come
So our lives count for something greater than ourselves
We are the body of Christ
And our anthem will be
A song of praise to the King
He is worthy, He is worthy
With one voice we will sing,
Where oh death is your sting
He is mighty, He is mighty
