Pray for the Church
Praise God for the peace He alone can bring us, even in the midst of life's conflicts. Ask Him to grow our trust in Him and reliance upon Him. Pray for God to help us all see our need for Him and to look to Him first for help with any problem or issue we face.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Serving You Ministries (SYM), a non-profit organization serving as a ministry arm to area churches and partner non-profits to love and serve the community through relief, development, relationships, and reconciliation. Check out the Women’s Blog at brookhills.org/women to read a BH volunteer’s story of serving with Serving You Ministries (servingyou.org) in the East Lake area. We are also praying for Christ Church, Trussville and Pastor James Dickson.
DAY 1: Over 100 clients are seen each week by SYM. Pray that God would meet each of them in their brokenness and would use SYM to care for the physical and spiritual needs of their clients.
DAY 2: Ask the Lord to raise up 15 new volunteers full of grace, compassion, and love for the Lord, the lost, and the disadvantaged who would be willing to give their time and talents to this ministry.
DAY 3: Pray for the children of SYM’s clients who have no control over their difficult life circumstances. Pray that God would protect them and bring them out of the cycles that have trapped their families.
DAY 4: Pray for the current volunteers. Pray for God to strengthen their spirit so they can pour into the lives of their clients. Pray their clients will see a clear demonstration of God’s love through them.
DAY 5: Pray for the job training programs that we partner with at our site. Pray for those in attendance to be receptive to God’s Word as it is being shared throughout the classes and for students to find stable employment.
DAY 6: Pray for hearts across Eastlake to be softened and prepared by the Spirit to respond in faith to the Good News of the gospel.
