Pray for the Church
Praise God for those He has used in each of our lives to disciple us and grow us in our faith. Pray for opportunities to encourage others within our faith family in their own faith journeys. Pray for one another, that we would all follow Christ above all. Ask God to help us all make disciples around us here and around the world.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Aspire Movement, a Christian mentoring ministry promoting holistic discipleship of urban youth and for Brook Hills volunteers serving in this ministry. Aspire focuses on personal transformation in four key areas of growth and development: mental, physical, spiritual and social. Christian mentors are matched with 4th or 5th grade students from urban schools with whom they will develop a long-term, mutually transforming relationship.
DAY 1: Pray for the 210 mentor/student relationships. Pray for current mentors to be faithful to spend quality time with their students, pray regularly for them, and encourage them to know and follow Christ.
DAY 2: Ask the Lord to raise up new mentors through church partnerships to invest in urban youth.
DAY 3: Pray for wisdom and guidance as leaders develop a new character curriculum for small group mentoring.
DAY 4: Pray for the three new staff members to grow and flourish in their roles.
DAY 5: Ask the Lord to provide the financial resources needed to close out the year and to raise up new donors and church partnerships for the upcoming year.
DAY 6: Pray for the new ministry partnership with Samford University and for the two new school partnerships, Brighton and Tarrant.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Taylor and Julia J. serving in East Asia. Taylor and Julia are a long-term family serving on our East Asia Church Planting Team. Brook Hills sent them out almost three years ago. Taylor works for a local company, and Julia serves as a social worker for an adoption agency there. This year they welcomed a daughter into their family through adoption and have just recently returned to East Asia after being stateside this summer. Join us this week as we pray for Taylor and Julia.
DAY 1: Pray for their family to be rooted in the Word and for the joy that comes from the Father to overflow from their lives.
DAY 2: Taylor and Julia have just recently adopted their daughter, Hali, this year. Adoption is not a cultural norm in their area of the world. Pray for God to give wisdom and grace as they navigate and know how best to respond to the many comments they receive every day about their family. Ask that these conversations would lead to gospel proclamation.
DAY 3: The East Asia team is adding a new family to the team this month. Continue to pray for health and unity within the broader team.
DAY 4: There is growing uncertainty in their area due to security concerns and persecution against local brothers and sisters. Pray for the gospel to spread across their region and for the Spirit to transform hearts and lives.
DAY 5: Taylor and Julia have a college student named MWY who they have had the opportunity to share the gospel with many times. Ask God to transform her heart and help her to believe. Pray for God to put other believers in her life at her university that can point her to Christ.
DAY 6: Pray for the Father to continue to lead Taylor and Julia to those who are seeking truth. Pray for God to be glorified in their family and to expand His kingdom through the East Asia team.

May all my days bring glory to Your Name
