Praise the Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Ask God to help us grasp the importance of baptism and to obediently follow through with our public identification with Him. Pray for boldness in our proclamation of the gospel to all those who need to hear, whether here in our city or elsewhere around the world. Ask God to soften the hearts of those with whom we share the gospel so they might hear and receive it by faith. Pray for the power of the gospel to be displayed through the lives of all Christ-followers. Pray for God’s help, wisdom, and guidance as we navigate a world and culture that is increasingly godless.

This week we are praying for the ministry of WorkFaith Birmingham, a Christ-centered 501(c)3 ministry focused on workforce preparation and life development for adults facing employment barriers. WFB was started by Pastor Keith Stanley, our Local Missions Pastor, to provide an avenue to bring the Body of Christ alongside adults desiring to develop the skills and values necessary to obtain and retain employment. So far, they have served 195 graduates with an over 80% success rate. We are also praying for Bethel Baptist Church, Collegeville, and Pastor Thomas Wilder.

DAY 1: Pray for all the graduates of this program as they move into full-time employment that they will know Christ, continue to develop a biblical worldview, grow in their relationship with Christ, and connect to a local church.

DAY 2: Pray especially for their new partnership with The Lovelady Center as they serve and prepare the ladies who are about to graduate there. Pray for the ladies to have the confidence and discipline they need to obtain employment and continue moving forward in life.

DAY 3: Pray for additional partnerships in the city to grow with other ministries and organizations in Birmingham so that they can benefit from this successful program. Pray for God to provide employers willing to give the graduates an opportunity to move forward in life.

DAY 4: Pray for the over 80% of graduates who have kept a job for over a year, that they will be able to move forward now into a career that provides sustainable wages for them and their families.

DAY 5: Pray for wisdom for the board and junior board as they seek to give overall guidance and support to the ministry and help raise resources for the ministry. Pray God will send additional board and junior board members who are passionate about this ministry, and who are living gospel-centered lives.

DAY 6: Pray for God to provide the resources needed to continue this important ministry in the city, and for WFB to receive enough resources to hire a full-time Executive Director.

This week we are praying for each other as we consider how God wants to use our lives for His glory among all nations. We want to be a church where every member is on mission and is asking the Father to use their life for His glory. Join us this week as we pray for our faith family and the ways the Lord wants to use us this year in our city, our nation, and our world.

DAY 1: Praise God for revealing Himself through His Word and opening our eyes to see our role in the Great Commission. Pray for each faith family member at Brook Hills to be obedient to this command.

DAY 2: Pray for each member at Brook Hills to find great delight and joy in serving the Lord in their home, our city, and around the world.

DAY 3: Pray for God to continue to use our faith family to engage unreached people groups around the world.

DAY 4: Pray for the men and women our faith family will encounter this year on mission. Pray for God to soften their hearts towards Christ and for many to be saved.

DAY 5: Praise God that He allows us to participate in His mission. Ask Him to help us be obedient to proclaim the gospel with boldness.

DAY 6: Ask God to fill us with His power and to use us for His glory among all nations. Ask God to show you the next step He wants you to take in being on mission.
