Pray for the Church
Praise God for the godly families He has brought to be a part of our larger faith family. Pray for all parents within our church to readily and joyfully embrace their responsibility to make disciples of their own children. Ask God to guide and strengthen new parents as they discover how to live in this new role. Pray we will all join our families in raising up succeeding generations in knowledge of and surrender to Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to specifically help us in instilling a love for God’s Word into children and students. Pray our greater faith family will reflect the families within as places where God is worshiped, the Bible is treasured, and the gospel is rehearsed.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Red Mountain Grace, a nonprofit organization dedicated as a place of refuge for out-of-town patients and caregivers that are receiving extended medical treatment in Birmingham. An uncompromised, Christ-centered organization, Red Mountain Grace is available to caregivers/patients regardless of age or reason for hospitalization. Red Mountain Grace was started by Brook Hills member, Jason Carroll. We are also praying for Christ Church, Trussville, and Pastor James Dickson.
DAY 1: Pray for the gospel to be known and for lives to be changed through the work and words of volunteers and staff at Red Mountain Grace.
DAY 2: Pray for the guests, that they may find comfort and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ as they walk through the valley of trials and sometimes death.
Day 3: Pray for God to grant the Red Mountain Grace leadership team wisdom, courage, and strength to guide this organization in such a way that will bring maximum glory to Him.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide more apartments through owners in Birmingham so that more patients and families can see the gospel at work.
DAY 5: Pray for God to increase Red Mountain Grace partnerships with churches, businesses, and individuals in the community.
DAY 6: Pray for God to empower, equip, and encourage RMG’s new (inaugural) Executive Director, Denise Booth, as she cares for, prays for, and invests her life into the infrastructure and management of the organization.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills partner, the International Mission Board (IMB). The IMB is the primary mission organization for Southern Baptist churches and works in every area of the world to make disciples of all peoples in fulfillment to the Great Commission. The IMB is one of The Church at Brook Hills’ main partners in sending Short-Term, Mid-Term, Long-Term and Church Planting teams overseas. To learn more about the International Mission Board visit imb.org.
DAY 1: Praise God for the ways He has used the IMB to expand His Kingdom. Pray for God to continue to open up multiple pathways through the IMB for more missionaries to be sent.
DAY 2: Pray for wisdom and clarity as the IMB moves forward in their strategy to support the local church as God accomplishes the Great Commission through His people.
DAY 3: Praise God for those He has raised up, called, and confirmed to serve with the IMB. Pray for God to encourage and strengthen field workers as they work to share the gospel and make disciples among all peoples.
DAY 4: Pray for the IMB to be unified in Christ and to be renewed in the work God has set before them.
DAY 5: Pray for God to use the IMB to make His name known among unreached people groups in greater ways than ever before.
DAY 6: Thank God for the partnership He has given us at Brook Hills with the IMB. Pray for this partnership to continue to grow and for many people to be called out to go and serve the nations through the IMB.

O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul

Verse 1
The sun comes up it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
Verse 2
You're rich in love and You're slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
Verse 3
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore
In Christ Alone
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand
Bridge
I find my strength I found my hope
I find my help in Christ alone
When fear assails when darkness falls
I found my peace in Christ alone
I give my life I give my all
I sing my song to Christ alone
The King of Kings the Lord of Lords
All heaven sings to Christ alone
To Christ alone
To Christ alone
All I Have is Christ
Verse 1
I once was lost in darkest night
Yet thought I knew the way
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still
Verse 2
But as I ran my hell-bound race
Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross
And I beheld God's love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace
Chorus
Hallelujah all I have is Christ
Hallelujah Jesus is my life
Verse 3
Now Lord I would be Yours alone
And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me
O Father use my ransomed life
In any way You choose
And let my song forever be
My only boast is You
