Pray for the Church
Praise God for the revelation, guidance, and instruction He provides us through His Word. Ask God to grant us boldness and to strengthen us to avoid shying away from sharing the whole counsel of God with the world around us. Ask God to continue to raise up and call out from among us men to serve as elders to shepherd our faith family and to help guard us against threats against us. Pray for God’s protection from those from outside the Church and from within that would seek to lead us astray and for discernment to avoid being enticed by their teachings. Ask God to grow each of us in our faith, knowledge of the Word, and commitment to Him. Pray above all else we will value the gospel and the mission of its proclamation to which God has called each of us.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the Sav-A-Life ministries in Vestavia and Shelby County. These comprehensive pregnancy care ministries aim to develop a culture where abortion is unnecessary and undesirable, and they are dedicated to offering free and con dential services in a loving environment to women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. We are also praying for Covenant Community Fellowship Church and Pastor Frank Woodson.
DAY 1: Pray for the staff and board at both Sav-A-Life Ministries. Pray they would be well equipped and would not grow weary in the battle for physical and spiritual life until Birmingham becomes a community where all life is valued and abortion is undesirable.
DAY 2: Pray for the women, men, and families served by these ministries to experience love, acceptance, and compassion and for their hearts to be softened to the gospel. Pray they would not only choose physical life for their child but eternal life for themselves.
DAY 3: Pray for God to burden the hearts of men and women to serve alongside these ministries as volunteer receptionists, counselors, mentors, and client advocates.
DAY 4: Ask God to call out additional medical volunteers—nurse practitioners, physicians, and nurses—to minister through Sav-a-Life so that more families considering abortion will have the opportunity to choose life.
DAY 5: Pray for the 40 Days for Life Campaign taking place right now in all 50 states and in 28 nations across the globe until November 6. Pray for many lives to be saved through the largest pro-life mobilization in history.
DAY 6: Pray for the women and families in Birmingham who are currently facing an unplanned pregnancy and are fearful, ashamed, or unsure how to proceed. Pray they would receive wise, godly counsel and make life-af rming decisions.
Pray for the World
One of the largest unreached and unengaged people groups in Turkey are the Zaza people. This week we are praying for the Zaza people and our eld partners working among them. There are close to 3 million Zaza living in Turkey, with less than 2% evangelical Christians among them. There is no active church planting work and little resources available. Join us this week as we pray for the Zaza peoples. For more ways to pray follow @pray4zaza on Twitter.
DAY 1: The Zaza are split into two categories, the Northern Zaza and the Southern Zaza, each with it’s own distinct language. Pray for God to awaken the hearts of Zaza men and women to the truth of the gospel.
DAY 2: The primary religion of the Southern Zaza is Sunni Islam. There are only a handful of known believers among them. Pray for our eld partner Ryan and his team who are actively engaging Southern Zaza people with the gospel and training the believers to do the same. Pray for God to save those that are hearing.
DAY 3: There are a few Southern Zaza men who have believed and who face regular persecution. Pray for our brothers who are faithfully living out and sharing the gospel. Pray for God to sustain them and provide for their every need. Pray for God to use our brothers to establish His church among the Zaza.
DAY 4: There are 1.5 million Northern Zaza people who are primarily Shia Muslims, but there is a small group of believers among them who need discipleship and maturing. Pray for God to grow the faith of these believers and raise up leaders and elders from among them to disciple others.
DAY 5: The Zaza people live in isolated areas of eastern Turkey making them not only spiritually, but physically one of the most unreached people groups in the world. Pray for an awakening to God to happen among the Zaza peoples. Pray for more workers to go and work among the Zaza.
DAY 6: Last week our eld partner Ryan and his team stayed in Zaza homes, ate meals with Zaza villagers, and shared the gospel with their new friends. Most ignored the gospel conversations and preferred to speak on politics. Pray for the Lord to soften their hearts and open their eyes to their need for salvation.

Bridge
There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love
Not in Me
No list of sins I have not done
No list of virtues I pursue
No list of those I am not like
Can earn myself a place with you
O God! Be merciful to me
I am a sinner through and through
My only hope of righteousness
Is not in me, but only You
No humble dress, no fervent prayer
No lifted hands, no tearful song
No recitation of the truth
Can justify a single wrong
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
No separation from the world
No work I do, no gift I give
Can cleanse my conscience, cleanse my hands
I cannot cause my soul to live
But Jesus died and rose again
The power of death is overthrown
My God is merciful to me
And merciful in Christ alone
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
And He alone can give me rest
Man of Sorrows (Hallelujah! He Has Saved Me)
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we
Spotless Lamb of God was He
“Full atonement!” can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Hallelujah, He has saved me
Sin and death shall reign no more
Christ has made a way for sinners
Hallelujah, what a Savior
Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished!” was His cry
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew His song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
