Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gathering us together as a church. Pray we will each remain faithful to our covenant of membership and will work to develop good biblical community with one another. Ask God to unite us together as a people for His purposes. Pray for God to grant us perseverance through trials, persecution, and suffering. Pray we will never neglect or shrink back from opportunities to proclaim the gospel with clarity and boldness. Pray we will live our lives in complete allegiance and submission to King Jesus. Pray for the City
Next Sunday is Orphan Sunday and churches around the globe will be raising awareness of the needs of orphans as well as celebrating how the Father has moved in His churches to care for the orphan. Locally, we are praying for families, agencies, institutions, and ministries who are caring for orphans. We are also praying for Immanuel Church and Pastor Andy Adkison.
DAY 1: Pray for our foster parents at Brook Hills. Ask the Father to give them “understanding” hearts and to sustain them so they can love their children with the unconditional and unfailing love that they themselves have experienced in Christ.
DAY 2: Pray for potential adoptive parents, that they will have wisdom in selecting an agency. Ask the Father to grant them patience and perseverance as they walk what can be a long and expensive journey for the sake of orphans.
DAY 3: Pray for our adopted and foster children, that they would quickly know that they are in a safe place and that they are loved. Pray they would feel the presence of Jesus even as they do not fully understand all that is going on.
DAY 4: Pray for our local agency and ministry partners that support foster and adoptive families including Brook Hills WRAP Ministry, AL Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, Pathways Counseling, Lifeline Children’s Services, Lifesong for Orphans, County DHR staffs, Children’s Aid Society, APAC, The Forgotten Initiative, and Altar84.
DAY 5: Pray for judges, attorneys, and all court personnel as they serve families walking through long and emotional court proceedings. Pray also for all service providers including CASA, probation of cers, rehabilitative and mental health professionals.
DAY 6: Ask the Father to raise up many more Christ-followers as adoptive or foster parents. Pray for local churches to rally around every adoptive and foster family within their body.
Pray for the World
Today, November 6th, is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Persecution, in its various forms, is a reality for most Christians in our world. It can be government suppression, community hostility and pressure, family rejection, and even martyrdom. Persecution is intended to silence witness, but we know that God uses it to advance His kingdom. We join with believers across the world to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters to persevere, and for God to strengthen His church in the midst of hardship.
DAY 1: Over 200 million of our brothers and sisters in over 50 countries face regular persecution for following Jesus Christ. Pray for God to make them steadfast as they persevere and remain faithful.
DAY 2: Praise God there is a gathering of believers, friends of Brook Hills, in southeast Turkey. These believers face persecution on a daily basis. Pastor A., who leads the church, has asked us to pray for God to make them steadfast and to give them con dence to live faith lled lives. Pray also for God to make them bold and empower them to share the gospel with their friends and neighbors.
DAY 3: N. Korea is at the top of the World Watch List for the 14th consecutive year now. Christians in N. Korea can face arrest and being sent to labor camps with horri c conditions. Pray for God to encourage the few believers and provide for their every need.
DAY 4: Pray for the few Hui Christians in China who face pressures from their families to return to their Muslim religion. Pray for boldness and sensitivity for the believers who have been ostracized from the community and sometimes from their families to remain faithful to share the gospel despite the cost.
DAY 5: Praise God for the small group of believers in Saudi Arabia. Pray for God to empower these believers and cause them to be bold. Pray for the church to grow in Saudi Arabia and for believers to nd comfort and fellowship with one another when they face hardship.
DAY 6: Pray for God to help us living in religious freedom not to silence our own witness but to join our persecuted brothers and sisters in boldly proclaiming the good news of Christ to all nations. Pray for God’s church to grow and for His name to be made known among all peoples.

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)
Verse 1
The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him
Verse 2
One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken
Pre-Chorus
The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated
Chorus
Now forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
And forever He is risen
He is alive and He is alive
Bridge
We sing hallelujah we sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah the Lamb has overcome
Christ is Risen
Verse 1
Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
But fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love
And bled for us
Freely You've bled for us
Chorus 1
Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake come awake
Come and rise up from the grave
Verse 2
Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bowed to none but heaven's will
No scheme of hell no scoffer's crown
No burden great can hold You down
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim
Bridge
O death where is your sting
O hell where is your victory
O church come stand in the light
The glory of God has defeated the night
Singing O death where is your sting
O hell where is your victory
O church come stand in the light
Our God is not dead He's alive He's alive
