Pray for the Church
Praise God for His divine guidance in our individual lives as well as our corporate faith family to impact the nations with His gospel. Pray for our Elders as they continue to lead our faith family in glorifying God by making disciples of all nations. Ask God to grant them wisdom in discerning the steps He has established for us in the coming days as we approach the new year. Confess to God your willingness and desire for your life to be spent for His glory among all peoples. Ask for guidance in how to best pray, give, and go for the sake of the gospel and God’s glory in our world.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Steel City Ministries, a free Christ-centered community-based recovery center in Birmingham that coaches men through Biblical principles and life skills in order to help them experience and sustain a more abundant life. We are also praying for True Vine Evangelical Ministries, Inglenook, and Pastor Ralph Garth.
Day 1: Pray for continued strength, stamina, and passion for the Steel City Ministries leadership team and for their families.
Pray they would not grow weary of doing good, but would be patient for a harvest in due season.
Day 2: Pray for the 40 men currently living at the ministry center, each with his own unique needs and circumstances.
Pray they will each experience a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
Day 3: Pray for clear direction for Steel City Ministries and for new relationships to be established with churches, businesses,
and organizations that can offer the needed resources to the men under their care.
Day 4: Pray blessing upon blessing for the volunteers who are generously offering their time and resources for this cause.
Day 5: Pray that the Lord will surround the men at Steel City with God-fearing individuals who will patiently love and encourage
them while pointing them to Christ.
Day 6: Praise God for moving the ministry toward a balanced budget this year! Pray that He will continue to provide the financial resources needed to be debt-free and to be effective in all their ministry endeavors.
Pray for the World
This week begins our month long celebration of the Global Offering. The Global Offering is how our Faith Family fuels our mission efforts each year. This week we are celebrating how the Global Offering allowed over 300 people to hear the gospel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this summer. Through our giving, we were able to send 8 Mid-Termers to serve in Kuala Lumpur for 2 months and as a result many unreached people groups heard the gospel for the first time. Thank you for giving to the Global Offering. Join us this week as we pray for Kuala Lumpur and those that are serving there.
Day 1: Malay are unreached and there are only a handful of believers among them. Pray for a movement of God among the
Malay. Pray for more workers to share the gospel.
Day 2: Praise God for the Mid-Termers who were sent out to KL this summer. Many of them are considering going Long-Term after they graduate from college. Pray for God to provide those opportunities and confirm if He is calling them to Long-Term work.
Day 3: Pray for the men and women who heard the gospel for the first time this summer from our Mid-Termers. Pray for God to
draw them to Himself and for many to believe.
Day 4: Pray for the Global Cities Initiative that Brook Hills is part of in KL. Pray for the team that is being formed from Brook Hills
to go and be part of the work there. Pray for God to provide jobs and open doors for those in the process.
Day 5: Thank God for allowing Brook Hills to be part of the church planting movement that is happening in KL. Pray for God to
use our resources here at BH to make His name known in KL and other strategic cities across the world.
Day 6: Pray that God would continue to urge our Faith Family to give towards the Global Offering so we can continue to send
more Mid-Termers out each year to share the gospel in places like KL.

Into Your glorious light

The risen Christ
Verse 2
May our every breath retell the grace
That broke into our strife
With boundless love and deepest joy
With endless life

Let the nations be glad
All Your blessing comes
That we may praise
May praise the Name of Jesus
Verse 3
All the earth is Yours and all within
Each harvest is Your own
And from Your hand we give to You
To make Christ known
Verse 4
May the seeds of mercy grow in us
For those who have not heard
May songs of praise build lives of grace
To spread Your Word
Verse 5
This our holy priv'lege to declare
Your praises and Your name
To every nation tribe and tongue
Your church proclaims
Bridge
Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty
Worthy worthy is the Lamb who was slain (2x)
Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty
All creation praise Your glorious name
Man Of Sorrows
Man of sorrows Lamb of God
By His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God
Has been on Jesus laid
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Silent as He stood accused
Beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will
He took a crown of thorns
Oh that rugged cross my salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out hallelujah
Praise and honour unto Thee
Sent of heaven God's own Son
To purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones
Who nailed Him to that tree
Now my debt is paid
It is paid in full
By the precious blood
That my Jesus spilled
Now the curse of sin
Has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free
Oh is free indeed
See the stone is rolled away
Behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised
He's risen from the grave
Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
Verse 1
Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
Verse 2
Joy to those who long to see Thee,
Dayspring from on high appear;
Come, thou promised Rod of Jesse,
Of Thy birth we long to hear.
O'er the hills the angels singing
News, glad tidings of a birth;
"Go to Him, your praises bringing;
Christ the Lord has come to earth."
Verse 3
Come to earth to taste our sadness,
He whose glories knew no end;
By His life He brings us gladness,
Our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.
Leaving riches without number,
Born within a cattle stall;
This is everlasting wonder,
Christ was born the Lord of all.
Verse 4
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
