Praise God for the many different servant leaders He has given us at Brook Hills, and thank Him for the elders He has called out from among us to shepherd us. Ask God to give wisdom to our entire elder council. Pray for Him to help all of our elders guard their hearts and conduct. Pray for them all to follow Christ first to serve as an example of how we too may follow Him together.

This week we are praying for the Brook Hills ESL English Camp June 24-27. The ESL Ministry (English As a Second Language) aims to extend Christian hospitality, establish community, and share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with internationals living in Birmingham. At English Camp, there will be adults and children from a lot of different countries coming to learn English. Most of the participants have been involved in our ESL Ministry throughout the school year. We are also praying for First Baptist Church Hoover and Pastor Eric Roberts.

DAY 1: Pray for the adult students who are attending ESL English camp. Pray they would be diligent in their learning and studying during the week. Pray they would build lasting relationships with others in their group and with their leaders. Pray they would hear and understand the gospel.

DAY 2: Pray for the preschool and children attending ESL camp. Pray they will stay safe during the week and have fun together. Pray they will be peaceful and eager to learn new truths.

DAY 3: Pray for the teenagers who are attending the English camp. Pray they would learn and build relationships with one another and their leaders. Pray they would feel loved and cared for by those around them.

DAY 4: Pray for the leaders over all of the age groups. Pray they would be bold in their witness and intentional in building relationships with the international students. Pray they would be excellent and faithful in teaching during the week and shine the light of Christ to the students.

DAY 5: Pray for the ESL leadership team as they continue to prepare for the week. Pray for strength and wisdom as they finalize details of the week and logistics over each age group.

DAY 6: Pray for gospel opportunities and conversations throughout the week. Ask the Lord to open hearts and minds and give His followers boldness. Pray the conversations would continue past this English camp and for God’s name to be known and glorified!

This week we are praying for training and encouragement we are providing for some of our teams in recent weeks.

DAY 1: Pray our teams in North Africa and the Middle East would be encouraged and refreshed by a visit from some of our leaders.

DAY 2: Pray for the Lord to provide rest and an extra measure of mercy and grace to the teams as they pause to reflect, evaluate, and grow.

DAY 3: Pray discussions and planning sessions will be fruitful and for the Lord to provide wisdom and direction.

DAY 4: Ask the Lord to give insight and inspiration as team members participate in training and development.

DAY 5: Pray the teams would be strengthened and maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

DAY 6: Pray for team members to continue to grow and thrive in a difficult mission field.
