Pastor Chip shares about a girls' home in Pakistan that is supported by the Global Offering and tells the story of Anjli, a girl who has spent ten years in the home. After listening to her story, read her letter below.
My name is Anjli and I am in the 11th grade. For the last ten years I have lived in a girls’ home here in Pakistan where I am loved and supported. I am very grateful that I got to spend ten years here, and am very thankful for the love and financial support that you gave me for my study and needs.
I am proud and happy that I was able to learn so many things for my life. Not only secular study, but I have also learned a lot about God that will always be useful in my life. I have confessed for my sins, proclaimed Jesus as my Savior, and been baptized.
My mother died when I was very little and my father was a drug addict. I sometimes wonder if I had not come to the girls’ home these past ten years, if I would have suffered the same fate as my brothers who followed my father and became drug addicts as well.
I am grateful to God that He provided me with great spiritual parents here at the girls’ home who have taken great care of me and fulfilled all my needs. I will never forget the time I have spent with them.
I am grateful for the love of my spiritual mother here, who has shared with me and taken great care of me. This home, no doubt for every girl, is no less than paradise.
I will never forget the love I have received from the teachers and other girls here at the home. I am very thankful for the opportunity to study in school. I want to be a nurse, so please pray that I may succeed in my journey.

Through the Global Offering and in partnership with Lifeline UnAdopted, Brook Hills helps support an orphanage for girls among a very difficult and least reached people group in Pakistan.
These girls have a safe home to grow and flourish, all while being exposed to the gospel and nurtured by believers. Because they are part of the home, the girls are removed from undesirable situations and are able to receive an education that would not be possible otherwise.
Females are often suppressed making them one of the most vulnerable citizens of Pakistan. These young girls most likely would not have an opportunity for an education outside of the girls’ home. Because of the Global Offering, they have the opportunity for a future, and most importantly an opportunity to hear the gospel.
Pray
- Pray for Anjli as she continues in her studies there to become a nurse. Pray that God would give her the fortitude to press into the gifts He has given her, and to use her to make His name known among her friends and people.
- Life for a girl in Pakistan is not easy. Pray for God to provide for the needs of each girl living at the girls’ home. Pray for each girl to see her worth in Christ and to grow in the knowledge and understanding of who Jesus is.
- Pray for God to use the girls’ home to make his name known among the least reached peoples in Pakistan. Pray for churches to grow and for many to be saved.
Other Ways the Global Offering Has Been Used in 2020:
AFGHANISTAN - Brook Hills helps host a high-level leadership institute so emerging leaders in this country can be equipped with biblically based executive leadership skills. Men and women from some of the hardest to reach people groups are hearing the gospel and believing. A network of underground churches is growing.
CHAD – The Global Offering provided clean water access for a nomadic community in the area of Dourbali, Chad. These communities are primarily Muslim people groups with little to no access to the gospel. With our partners at Neverthirst, Brook Hills provided basic clean water access, training for community leaders in proper sanitation and safe water storage, and equipping of local believers and church leaders to help improve health training for the community.
