“When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.” – Luke 9:51 (ESV)
When Jesus “set his face to go to Jerusalem,” He resolved to fulfill the purpose for which He’d come. He determined to die.
There was still much to do and more to even come afterward, but His path was laid out before Him, and He made the choice to follow it in obedience to the Father.
In this time between Palm Sunday and Easter, what we know as Holy Week, we want to set our faces toward Jesus, “the source and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2, CSB). We want to reflect upon and remember all He accomplished that week for our good and for God’s glory.
To help us accomplish this goal, we’ve created this devotional with daily readings, questions, and prayer prompts to take us from Palm Sunday to Easter. Our prayer is that this week then serves to motivate us throughout our year as we obediently follow after Him on the path He has laid out for us.
