Ministry Role & Responsibility: As the Adult and Small Groups Minister, my responsibility is to create a healthy small group culture that will draw people into groups, disciple them, and then send them out in various ways to impact their community and the world.
About Me: I met my wife, Liz, at the Baptist Campus Ministry at Jacksonville State University. We married in 1985 after she completed a two-year journeyman missionary term in Venezuela. She has a green thumb and enjoys growing things at home and at her job at a local plant nursery. We have two adult children. We have two grown and married children, Andy and Emily, and one granddaughter. I grew up in Northwest Alabama, and after college, Liz and I moved to Texas, where I attended Southwestern Seminary. Most of my ministry life has been in Alabama, apart from a time in Arkansas.

Favorite Scripture:
"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." – Ephesians 5:15-16
Interesting Fact: We love to travel. Our favorite vacation spot is Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. Also, I love Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and wings from Baumhower's.
