Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of His Word and for revealing Himself through the Scriptures. Pray for Him to help develop within us a love for the Bible and to grow our knowledge of Him from the Word. Ask God to grant us insight and understanding as we think on what we read in the Bible. Pray for God to use His Word to transform us more and more into the image of His Son.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Sav-a-Life Shelby, a pregnancy resource ministry whose mission is to develop a culture of life in Shelby County and to offer the hope of the gospel. By providing free, confidential services in a compassionate and loving environment to women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy, Sav-A-Life Shelby hopes to see clients choose life for themselves and for their unborn child. We are also praying for Westwood Baptist Church, Alabaster and Pastor Kenneth Bruce.
DAY 1: Pray for each client seeking help from the Pregnancy Resource Center in Pelham to encounter Jesus and be transformed by the gospel.
DAY 2: Pray for more and more women and men to choose life for their unborn child and for abortion to become undesirable and unnecessary in Shelby County.
DAY 3: Pray for the Sav-A-Life Shelby staff and leadership to seek God’s will and yield to His plans for this ministry.
DAY 4: Pray for the “Earn While You Learn” classes to be fruitful and grow to reach and educate more members of the community.
DAY 5: Pray for the board and volunteers who support this ministry to bear much fruit in their kingdom labor as they abide in Christ.
DAY 6: Pray for each avenue of ministry that God has entrusted to Sav-A-Life Shelby to further their mission to share the hope of Christ in Shelby County.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our partner Ramesh Landge and the Cooperative Outreach of India (COI) ministries. COI has been a partner for a number of years and hosts Short-Term teams. COI focuses on training pastors for church planting, engaging unreached peoples through community projects, and serving the poor through multiple ministries. Join us as we pray for Ramesh and his staff at COI.
DAY 1: Praise God for His faithfulness to COI and for how He has brought joy and hope to their staff and those they are ministering to in northern India.
DAY 2: Pray for the growing work of the Lord in various areas of northern India. Pray for COI as they work to strengthen believers in different communities and for the church to continue to grow as a result of new disciples being made.
DAY 3: Persecution is a reality in the area where many of COI’s church planters work. Please pray for God to protect their team and to use even the persecution they experience to drive the gospel forward. Pray for these team members to be strengthened in their faith as God provides for them in their suffering.
DAY 4: Pray for Ramesh, his wife, Gloria, and their children and grandchildren. Pray for God to give grace to their family and unify them together for ministry. Pray for their family to be a testimony to the surrounding community of their faith in Christ and God’s work in their lives.
DAY 5: Pray for God to get great glory from the work He is accomplishing through COI. Pray for God to call men and women to Himself and continue to use COI to make the gospel known and establish His church among unreached people groups throughout northern India.
DAY 6: Pray for Ramesh as he leads COI. Pray for God to give him wisdom to shepherd his team and to have clarity of vision for the work of COI.
