Praise God for sovereignly orchestrating our steps and graciously guiding us in the way we should go. Pray for courage to follow after Him even when there are risks. Ask Him to give us patience and strength to endure when His timing is different from ours. Pray for God to grow our trust in Him despite our circumstances.

This week we are praying for the various Brook Hills college outreach ministries that are seeking to engage college students with the gospel across the city of Birmingham. We are praying specifically for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Birmingham Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM), and our own BH College Ministry. We’re also praying this week for Antioch Community Church and Pastor Kevin Naylor.

Day 1: Pray for the FCA ministry on college campuses across our city. Pray that they would impact students, teachers, and coaches with the joy of knowing Jesus. Pray that their discipleship efforts would be fruitful in helping people grow in their walk with Christ.

Day 2: Pray for our Brook Hills member who works with FCA to reach students at UAB. Pray for endurance, strength, and health as she seeks to serve college students in these unprecedented times. Pray that through her discipleship, many will come to know the love of Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

Day 3: Pray for Rocky Mayo and Krystal Brummit as they seek to lead the Brook Hills College Ministry. Pray that the Lord would give them rest, strength, and joy as they serve the college students that visit our campus. Pray that the Lord would strengthen their desire to reach college students with the gospel, and bless them with endurance to disciple students for years to come.

Day 4: Pray for all of the Brook Hills college students as they work to build relationships across ethnic, social, and religious lines. Pray that their lives will be a witness to the life-giving power of the gospel. Pray that, even now, the Lord would be softening hearts and opening doors for gospel conversations with friends and families of students that do not yet know Jesus.

Day 5: Pray for the BCM as they kick off fall Discipleship Groups this month. Pray for the many D-Groups happening on campuses all across the city, state, and even country. Pray that as students meet together to learn more about God, they would be bold to invite their friends that haven’t yet heard of God’s mercy and love.

Day 6: Pray for the BCM Evangelism Training that is happening on September 12 on the campus of UAB. Pray that students will be able to learn more about their own spiritual gifts, find new ways to begin gospel conversations, and be encouraged to boldly share their faith with their peers.

This week we are praying for Chris and Leah who are serving Long-Term in the Middle East. Chris and Leah arrived in a strategic city a year ago to help lead a team that is engaging the least-reached people groups that live and work in their city. They are also part of strengthening the local international churches that are growing and seeing disciples formed. Join us as we pray specifically for their family as they lead their team to make Christ known among those that have never heard the gospel.

Day 1: Praise God for giving Chris and Leah the leadership opportunity to strengthen the local church in their city, as well as mobilize others to engage the least reached who have come from all over the world to live and work. Pray for God to give them wisdom and to make them humble servants as they lead those who have been entrusted to them.  

Day 2: Praise God for Chris and Leah’s incredible team. Pray for God to continue to establish a strong bond with their teammates and for unity to continue to flourish as new members join in the coming months. 

Day 3: Chris and Leah started a language intensive this semester that is tough and time consuming. Pray for them as they study and engage in this new language. Pray for God’s grace as they retain and learn to speak Arabic.

Day 4: Pray for God to give wisdom and opportunities to Chris and Leah as they seek out ways to serve their local community. Pray for innovative ways to provide care for the people in their city that allows the gospel to take root.  

Day 5: Pray for Leah as she develops new rhythms for homeschooling with the kids this semester. Pray for their children as they continue to grow and mature.

Day 6: Pray for the millions of people in Chris and Leah’s city who have never heard of Christ. Pray that God would make known His salvation and use their family to do it.
