Pray for the Church
Praise God for the truth and saving power of the gospel. Pray for him to help us be bold enough to both confront sin and graciously proclaim His good news. Ask Him to use our gospel witness to bring many others to faith in Him.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for the ministry of Bundles of Hope, a Christ-centered non-profit that cares for the community by meeting the basic, essential, monthly needs of diapers for Alabama families. Diapers are expensive and not covered by any government program and currently, one in two Alabama families struggle to afford diapers for their child. Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank desires to help all families experiencing “diaper need” through church partnerships and Christian non-profits so that families will know Jesus’ love and care for them. To date, Bundles has distributed over 5 million diapers serving 100,000 Alabama babies. We’re also praying this week for Bethel Baptist Church of Collegeville and Pastor Thomas Wilder.
Day 1: Pray for the clients being served through Bundles of Hope. Pray for God’s presence and blessing to be on their households and for them to experience the love of Christ. Pray for gospel conversations for each church and Christian ministry partner as they care for the most vulnerable in tangible ways.
Day 2: Pray for the volunteers who serve throughout the week at Bundles of Hope. Pray for their well-being, physically and spiritually. Pray that they would find great joy in the work they are doing caring for families.
Day 3: Pray for the 70+ church and community partners that act as the hands and feet of Christ through diaper collection and distributions. Pray that the Lord would bless their desire to see people come to know Christ through the love and care they show daily.
Day 4: Pray for the amazing donors and supporters of Bundles of Hope. Pray that they would be blessed for their generosity. Pray for new supporters to join the cause and give generously to the ministry of Bundles of Hope.
Day 5: Pray for the small staff at Bundles of Hope. Pray that the Lord would grant wisdom, strength, and great compassion as they seek to serve the most vulnerable in Alabama. Pray that they and their families would be protected from the enemy and would be a continued blessing to our city.
Day 6: Pray for the annual Stuff the Bus Diaper Drive happening this week. Pray that Bundles of Hope would meet their goal of collecting 600,000 diapers this week to serve the ever-increasing needs of children in our state.
Pray for the World
This week, we are praying for our Long-Termers, John and Molly. John and Molly live and work in the Middle East with their two children. They are serving a local church plant and seeking to make Jesus’ name known among their friends and coworkers.
Day 1: Pray for deep relationships, particularly in their neighborhood and workplace. Pray for boldness and wisdom to pursue opportunities to read the Word with their friends.
Day 2: A few weeks ago, they covenanted together as a church with a small group of believers in their city. Pray for unity and love for each other during this season. Pray that the way they love one another would be a shining light in a dark place.
Day 3: Local believers are scattered throughout their city. Pray for local leaders to be raised up and churches to be formed. Pray that the local believers would persevere and strive to live a different life than their surroundings. Pray that they would have boldness to share the gospel and a broken heart for their lost friends and family.
Day 4: Pray for them to be disciplined in prayer and time in the Word. Pray that they would strive for holiness in all aspects of their lives and be quick to repent of sin. Pray that they would lean into the gospel on a daily basis.
Day 5: Pray for Molly as she learns language. Pray that she would be steadfast in studying and be reminded that her worth is in Jesus Christ. Pray for John as he goes to work every day. Pray that he would work heartily, as for the Lord and not for man. Pray for their marriage to be an example of how Christ loves the church.
Day 6: Pray for their children as they are growing up in a foreign context. Pray that their hope would be in Jesus and not in their nationality or the language they speak. Pray that the Father would save them and they would be a light among darkness.
