This Week
Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Ask God to guard us from temptations to be led astray by teachings contrary to the Truth of Scripture. Pray for each of us to look for opportunities to disciple others in their faith and to be discipled in our own faith. Ask God to grow us individually and as a faith family to maturity in our walk with Him.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for Jimmie Hale Mission, a Christian-based, nonprofit organization which includes a homeless shelter for men, a shelter for women and children, after-school Bible clubs, recovery programs, learning centers, and thrift stores. The purpose of Jimmie Hale Mission is to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of men, women, and children in our community by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are also praying for Grace Life Church and Pastor Joel Frederick.
DAY 1: Pray for the Mission to be in the center of God’s will and for the staff and volunteers to be submissive to God and sensitive to His leading.
DAY 2: Pray for the Board of Directors to be committed to Christ and to lead their lives, and the ministry, with integrity.
DAY 3: Pray for the staff to be filled with mercy and compassion and to not grow weary in well doing. Pray for volunteers to come alongside the staff, in agreement with the Mission’s purpose, in a way that would complement their efforts.
DAY 4: Pray for the Mission’s priority to always be to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the poor and hurting in Jesus’ name.
DAY 5: Pray for donors to be obedient to God in their giving, and in return, to be blessed by their faithfulness.
DAY 6: Pray for every client to see the love of Christ through the staff and volunteers and to be open to God’s working in their lives.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for our Brook Hills field partners, Greg and Beth B., serving in North Africa. Greg and Beth host Brook Hills medical teams and help facilitate partnership between local churches that host medical clinics. Join us as we pray for our partners and for the work that God will accomplish this week through our short-term teams as they serve together.
DAY 1: Greg and Beth are very busy with family, friends, and ministry. Pray for God to sustain them and to give them times of rest. Pray for God to continue to make them effective in the work He has entrusted to them.
DAY 2: Pray for the Brook Hills medical teams who will be serving with Greg and Beth this year. Pray for God to use our teams to encourage Greg and Beth as well as the local believers who they will be serving with.
DAY 3: Greg and Beth have a small business where they serve. Pray for God to give Greg wisdom as he develops his employees into leaders. Pray for their business to be successful as they serve the community.
DAY 4: Pray for Greg as he seeks out new locations to host medical clinics. Pray for God to provide local churches who are willing to partner and open their doors to this type of partnership.
DAY 5: Pray for God to open the hearts and minds of the Muslim patients who will come into the medical clinics. Pray for many to believe.
DAY 6: Pray for the local church Greg and Beth partner with. Pray for God to strengthen local believers and for the church to multiply.

Rejoice
Verse 1
Come and stand before your maker
Full of wonder full of fear
Come behold his power and glory
Yet with confidence draw near
For the one who holds the heavens
And commands the stars above
Is the God who bends to bless us
With an unrelenting love
Chorus
Rejoice
Come and lift your hands and raise your voice
He is worthy of all praise
Rejoice
Sing the mercies of your king
And with trembling rejoice
Verse 2
We are children of the promise
The beloved of the Lord
Won with everlasting kindness
Bought with sacrificial blood
Bringing reconciliation
To a world that longs to know
The affections of a father
Who will never let them go
Verse 3
All our sickness all our sorrows
Jesus carried up the hill
He has walked this path before us
He is walking with us still
Turning tragedy to triumph
Turning agony to praise
There is blessing in the battle
So take heart and stand amazed
Chorus
Rejoice
When you cry to him he hears your voice
He will wipe away your tears
Rejoice
In the midst of suffering
He will help you sing
Death Was Arrested
Verse 1
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began
Verse 2
Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 1
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
Verse 3
Released from my chains I'm a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend Oh
When death was arrested and my life began
Chorus 2
Oh Your grace so free washes over me
You have made me new now life begins with You
It's Your endless love pouring down on us
You have made us new now life begins with You
Oh yes it does
Verse 4
Our Savior displayed on a criminal's cross
Darkness rejoiced as though Heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That's when death was arrested and my life began
That's when death was arrested and my life began
Bridge
Oh we're free free forever we're free
Come join the song of all the redeemed
Yes we're free free forever amen
When death was arrested and my life began
Ending
When death was arrested and my life began
That's when death was arrested and my life began
Come Thou Fount
Verse 1
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the name! I’m fixed upon it
Name of Thy redeeming love
Verse 2
Hitherto Thy love has blessed me
Thou hast brought me to this place
And I know Thy hand will bring me
Safely home by Thy good grace
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wandering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood
Verse 3
Oh to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above
Verse 4
Oh that day when freed from sinning
I shall see Thy lovely face
Full arrayed in blood-washed linen
How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry
Bring Thy promises to pass
For I know Thy pow’r will keep me
Till I’m home with Thee at last
His Mercy is More
Verse 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Chorus
Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Jesus Firm Foundation
Verse 1
How firm a foundation you saints of the Lord
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word
What more can He say than to you He has said
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled
Fear not He is with us O be not dismayed
For He is our God our Sustainer and Strength
He'll be our Defender and cause us to stand
Upheld by His merciful almighty hand
Chorus
How firm our foundation
How sure our salvation
And we will not be shaken
Jesus firm foundation
Verse 2
The soul that is trusting in Jesus as Lord
Will press on enduring the darkest of storm
And though even hell should endeavor to shake
He'll never no never no never forsake
He'll never no never no never forsake
Bridge
Age to age He stands faithful to the end
All may fade away but He will remain
He will remain
