Pray for the Church
Praise God for His holiness and His conviction of our sin. Ask God to help us be holy as He is holy. Pray for Him to lead us to confess and repent of any sin in our lives. Ask God to develop within us a healthy fear of Him out of our reverence for His character.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for The WellHouse, a local Christian ministry extending God’s grace to adult women who are victims of human trafficking. The WellHouse is celebrating ten years of providing opportunities for restoration for hurting women. From the first contact on the crisis call to time together after being rescued, The WellHouse ministry employs a multidisciplinary approach to recovery as they address all areas of need in a safe environment where trust and faith begin to grow. We’re also praying this week for Lakeside Baptist Church and Pastor Greg Corbin.
Day 1: Pray for the spiritual growth of all rescued survivors, specifically for all who enter The WellHouse. Pray for them as they journey through healing to experience the comfort of the Father as they process and move forward.
Day 2: Pray for the rescued women that have graduated and exited The WellHouse to find shelter and safety in Christ and in fellowship with His church. Pray for The WellHouse’s mostly recently rescued women to find a place of peace, safety, and healing.
Day 3: Pray for the women who have not yet been rescued. Pray for them to hear the Lord calling them to Himself and find the courage to reach out for help. Pray for God to bring justice by exposing and eliminating human trafficking in our city and around the world.
Day 4: Pray for The WellHouse’s upcoming luncheon on October 20. Pray for the event to raise awareness of human trafficking across our city.
Day 5: Pray for financial provision for The WellHouse. Pray for God’s resources to continue to provide abundantly for the needs of the women finding safety and security at The WellHouse.
Day 6: Pray for the current residents at WellHouse Child and those youth in the process to enter this program. Pray for them to feel loved, find healing, and know that they are a child of the One True King.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Long-Termer, Kristi K. She works with a team in North Africa at a language center and helps to manage the English program and teach English to locals. Through this business, she invests in the local staff and engages in relationships with the students. It is the center’s goal to provide a safe environment for individuals to ask questions and hear the Good News. She and her team are also working to establish a local healthy church in their city.
Day 1: Pray for Kristi to have energy and endurance in teaching, and for the Father to continue to send students to the language center.
Day 2: Ask the Father to send students that have hearts softened and ready to hear the Good News. Pray for Kristi to have wisdom in engaging with students outside the classroom. Pray for fruitful conversations that point them to Jesus Christ.
Day 3: Pray for Kristi to be a loving, gracious, and servant-hearted part of her team as they seek to serve and build the Kingdom of God in North Africa.
Day 4: Pray for Kristi to stay consistent in her time in the Word and to remind herself daily of the gospel. Pray for her to intentionally set aside extra time to rest in the Lord and retreat for an afternoon or day each month.
Day 5: Pray for further conversations with her friend *Holly. She’s expressed interest in reading the Word. Pray that they can do this together soon and that the Father will use His Word to open her eyes and heart to Him.
Day 6: Pray for endurance and excitement as she continues to aim for a higher level of Arabic. Pray for her to make time for classes and keep pushing herself to practice, even when life gets busy.
