Pray for the Church
Praise God for His active work in our lives to grow each of us in faith and obedience. Pray for strength to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness in each of our lives. Ask God to grant us confidence and boldness in our confession of Christ to the world around us.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for The Well House (the-wellhouse.org), a local ministry extending God’s grace to victims of sex trafficking. The Well House provides opportunities for restoration beginning with the initial call to the crisis line. After a victim is rescued, the ministry employs a multidisciplinary approach to recovery as they address all areas of need in a safe environment where trust begins to grow. We are also praying for Redeemer Community Church and Pastor Joel Brooks.
DAY 1: Pray for each Well House resident to find spiritual restoration and life transformation through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for more and more women to desire to become residents there.
DAY 2: Pray for strength and encouragement for The Well House staff and volunteers as they minister to the many needs of the residents.
DAY 3: Pray for God’s will and provision as the ministry moves toward its next phase of development launching the Next Steps to Independence transitional living program and facility.
DAY 4: Pray for wisdom as The Well House leadership team makes important daily decisions that affect many lives.
DAY 5: Pray for opportunities to effectively utilize the new campus in order to provide ways for residents to make an income.
DAY 6: Pray for the Lord to expose and eliminate sex trafficking in our city and around the world.
Pray for the World
Today, November 5th, is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. This week we want to stand in prayer with our brothers and sisters who are suffering because of their faith in Christ. Persecution is a negative reaction by government, ideologies, society, and family to the presence of Christ. Persecution often takes place in many forms, but the purpose is to silence witness. Believers experiencing persecution remind us, though, that persecution in the Bible is normal. Suffering for Jesus is as common as the “sun coming up in the East.” So as our brothers and sisters around the world continue to be refined through persecution, let us diligently join in their suffering through prayer, gospel witness, and disciple-making in all nations.
DAY 1: Mature believers under persecution often say, “Don’t pray for our persecution to end. Pray we will be obedient throughour suffering.” Pray, then, for the persecuted church to be obedient and to remain steadfast in the reality of persecution.
DAY 2: North Korea is ranked as the most oppressive place in the world for Christians. Pray for believers who hide their faith completely from the government and even their own family for fear of being killed or imprisoned. Pray for God to provide for these believers who are in isolation.
DAY 3: Somalia has been on the World Watch List since 1993 as one of the worst countries for Christians to live. Christians barely survive on the outskirts of society and face significant persecution. Martyrdom is very common. Pray for God to sustain Somali believers and make bold the church in sharing the gospel. Pray for hearts of Somalis to be opened to the truth of the gospel and for many to know Christ.
DAY 4: India, the world’s largest democracy, is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His leadership pushes for a pure Hindu state. As a result, a radical Hinduism has steadily increased and caused significant persecution for Christians who will not convert to Hinduism. Pray for Modi to be saved by Christ. Pray for Indian Christians to remain steadfast in the face of opposition. Pray for the church to continue to spread rapidly in spite of the government’s religious oppression.
DAY 5: Persecution in Sudan is systematic and reminiscent of ethnic cleansing. There is no true rule of law in Sudan; freedom of expression has been almost entirely curtailed. Islam is deeply embedded in society, and the government is strictly implementing a one-religion policy. Pray for this nation that is weak from war and famine. Pray for Sudanese believers to not live in fear but in confidence of God’s word and power.
DAY 6: Pray for a great spiritual harvest in the places where our persecuted brothers and sisters live. Pray for God to continue to use the persecuted church to spread His kingdom. Pray we here would not silence our witness but be bold to proclaim Christ.

The Beatitudes Song
Blessed are the poor in spirit
Those who see the sin in their hearts
Blessed are the ones who are weeping
Cause sin has torn the whole world apart
Blessed are the meek and humble
God will freely give them all things
Blessed are the ones who are hungry
And thirst for justice and wait on their King
We are the salt of the earth
We’re gonna shake, shake, shake like a salt shaker
We are the light of the world
We’re gonna shine, shine, shine ‘til the night’s no more
We’re gonna shine, shine, shine ‘til the night’s no more
Blessed are the merciful
Whose sins are forgiven so they can forgive
Blessed are the pure in heart
God will show His face to them
Blessed are the ones who make peace
Loving others with the Savior’s love
Blessed are those bullied for their faith
Great in God’s kingdom will be their reward
Praise the King

Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry

Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry

In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin

Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him

How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
