Pray for the Church
Praise God for this Christmas season when we all remember and celebrate together the birth of His Son, Jesus Christ. Ask Him to help us make the most of every opportunity this time of year affords us to share with others the truth of the gospel. Pray for God to save many during this holiday season and for our celebrations to be driven by our own recognition of all He gave in sending His Son for us.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for various Christmas outreach efforts across our city, specifically among our ESL Students (through the
Brook Hills ESL Ministry) and among our neighbors in Marks Village (through Oak Tree Ministries). The Christmas season offers a unique opportunity to witness to others as we celebrate the true Gift of Christmas, the free gift of eternal life made possible through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are also praying for a2 Church and Pastor Chris Goins.
Day 1: Pray for our own Faith Family and partner organizations as we find intentional ways to engage the lost, show hospitality,
and exalt Christ during this Christmas season. Pray for gospel conversations.
Day 2: Pray for the ESL Christmas Celebration on December 14. Pray for God to use the celebration and volunteers to share
the life-changing story of Jesus’ birth with the students. Pray that God will give them spiritual understanding.
Day 3: Pray for many of our ESL students to be invited into Christian homes this Christmas to witness the joy that this holiday
brings to those who have trusted in Christ.
Day 4: Pray for Christmas in the Village on December 15-16 in Marks Village. Pray for Christ to be exalted & glorified
through this outreach and for the true hope of Christmas to be shared and understood!
Day 5: Pray for Marks Village parents to feel dignity and love as they shop at the Christmas Store and for mutually
transforming relationships to begin in the community.
Day 6: Pray for many across our city to personally consider the gift of Christ this Christmas and to receive His gift through
repentance and faith.
Pray for the World
This week, as we celebrate the second week of our Global Offering month, we want to pray for Josh and Monika who are being sent out from The Church at Brook Hills as Long-Term workers in North Africa. There is a small and weak evangelical presence in the major city they will be living in. Josh and Monika’s primary goal is to strengthen and encourage the church in their city and region so that it can grow in bold witness to share the gospel with the majority Muslim population. Join us as we pray for Josh and Monika. Praise God that through the Global Offering we are able to send and support their family as they live and do ministry in North Africa.
Day 1: Josh and Monika will be leaving at the end of the month to move to North Africa. Pray for a smooth transition as they get
their lives set up in a new country, a new city, and a new home.
Day 2: Praise God that through the Global Offering we are able to come alongside Josh and Monika with a gift to help them set-up their home. Pray for God to use their home as a refuge for their family and as a place where they can serve friends and neighbors with hospitality. Pray ultimately that their home would be a place where Christ is proclaimed and where many will believe.
Day 3: Upon arrival, Josh and Monika will spend most of their time learning language and culture. Pray for the Lord to bless
their diligence as they submit themselves to this process of learning.
Day 4: Pray for the team that Josh and Monika are joining. Pray for their team to be unified as they work to make Christ known
in their city.
Day 5: Pray for Josh as he continues his education once they arrive. Pray for the Lord to give him capacity to accomplish all that he has been given leadership over.
Day 6: Pray for Josh and Monika to seek God and His Word every day. Pray for God to use their family to make Himself known
and to strengthen the church so many can know of Christ and His salvation.

O Come All Ye Faithful
Verse 1
O come all ye faithful

O come ye O come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of angels

Sing in exultation
O sing all ye bright
Hosts of heav'n above
Glory to God all
Glory in the highest
Verse 3
Yea Lord we greet Thee
Born this happy morning
Jesus to Thee be all glory giv'n
Word of the Father
Now in flesh appearing
Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
Verse 1
Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
Verse 2
Joy to those who long to see Thee,
Dayspring from on high appear;
Come, thou promised Rod of Jesse,
Of Thy birth we long to hear.
O'er the hills the angels singing
News, glad tidings of a birth;
"Go to Him, your praises bringing;
Christ the Lord has come to earth."
Verse 3
Come to earth to taste our sadness,
He whose glories knew no end;
By His life He brings us gladness,
Our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.
Leaving riches without number,
Born within a cattle stall;
This is everlasting wonder,
Christ was born the Lord of all.
Verse 4
Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a King,
Born to reign in us forever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all sufficient merit,
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
Lamb of God
Verse 1
You came from heaven's throne
Acquainted with our sorrow
To trade the debt we owe
Your suff'ring for our freedom
Chorus
The Lamb of God in my place
Your blood poured out my sin erased
It was my death You died I am raised to life
Hallelujah the Lamb of God
Verse 2
My name upon Your heart
My shame upon Your shoulders
The pow'r of sin undone
The cross for my salvation
Bridge
There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love
Worthy of Your Name
Worthy Of Your Name
Verse 1
Rumors of the Son of Man
Stories of a Savior
Holiness with human hands
Treasure for the traitor
No ear has heard no eye has seen
The image of the Father
Until heaven came to live with me
A rescue like no other
Chorus 1
(Yes) You are worthy
You are worthy of Your name
You are worthy yes You are
You are worthy of Your name Jesus
Verse 2
You did not speak You made no sound
You died for Your accusers
And as Your blood fell to the ground
You redefined my future
Yeah on the day that You arose
The darkness ran for cover
For the King of kings has claimed His throne
Now until forever
Bridge
You're my author my maker my ransom my Savior
My refuge my hiding place
You're my helper my healer my blessed Redeemer
My answer my saving grace
You're my hope in the shadows
My strength in the battle
My anchor for all my days
And You stand by my side and You stood in my place
Jesus no other name
Only Jesus no other name
Chorus 2
You are worthy
You are worthy of Your name
You are worthy yeah
You are worthy of Your name
You are worthy
You are worthy of Your name
You are worthy yes You are
You are worthy of Your name Jesus
Now Why This Fear
Verse 1
Now why this fear and unbelief
Has not the Father put to grief
His spotless Son for us
And will the righteous Judge of men
Condemn me for that debt of sin
Now canceled at the cross
Chorus
Jesus all my trust is in Your blood
Jesus You've rescued us
Through Your great love
Verse 2
Complete atonement You have made
And by Your death have fully paid
The debt Your people owed
No wrath remains for us to face
We're sheltered by Your saving grace
And sprinkled with Your blood
Bridge
How sweet the sound of saving grace
How sweet the sound of saving grace
Christ died for me
Verse 3
Be still my soul and know this peace
The merits of your great High Priest
Have bought your liberty
Rely then on His precious blood
Don't fear your banishment from God
Since Jesus sets you free
