Pray for the Church
Praise God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, on that first Christmas so long ago. Pray for opportunities to share the message of Christmas with others we encounter over these holidays. Ask God to soften the hearts of those who will hear the gospel through so many times of celebration and to grant them ears to hear and faith to believe. Pray for God to use us all individually and corporately as a church to carry His gospel to many who have not yet heard, that we might celebrate Christmas next year with new brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for The Lovelady Center, a Christ-centered transitional program for women coming out of homelessness, escaping domestic violence, or being released from prison. The Lovelady Center empowers women to rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope as a contributing member of society. In addition to providing housing and basic needs for 500 women and children daily, Lovelady ensures each woman is taught how to overcome barriers to success by providing access to needed services such as education, rehabilitation, and medical care. We’re also praying this week for Birmingham Community Church and Pastor Chris Culver.
Day 1: Pray for the women at The Lovelady Center who are rebuilding their lives after homelessness, domestic violence, or prison. Pray for them to experience the life of freedom that has been offered through Jesus Christ and to fall in love with their Savior.
Day 2: Pray for the children of the Loveladies, many of them having so many emotional and physical needs. Pray for God to heal them and meet those needs as He fathers them and draws them to Himself.
Day 3: Pray for peace to reign at The Lovelady Center during the holiday season, as the holidays tend to be a tougher time for the Loveladies. Pray for each woman to experience a time of peace and reflection as she looks back over her past, and to find a new hope in looking forward to the future.
Day 4: Pray for continued financial provision for The Lovelady Center. Pray for generosity of both finances and time from donors and volunteers. Pray for all who give and serve to be richly blessed in return.
Day 5: Pray for the Lovelady board members. Pray for the Lord to continue to give them abundant wisdom and clarity of vision as they seek to lead the ministry well.
Day 6: Pray for the hardworking staff members at The Lovelady Center who are committed to leading women and children through this process toward a better life. Pray for them to be obedient to the Lord as He daily leads them in this ministry. Pray for their upcoming staff retreat.
Pray for the World
The Global Offering has helped send and support members of our faith family to live among the least reached in our world this year. Many men and women have heard the gospel for the first time as our mid-term and long-term missionaries have faithfully shared this good news. This week, we want to spend time praying specifically for these men and women all over the world who have heard the gospel but have not yet believed. Although we do not know these people personally, we want to encourage you to commit time to pray for God to open the hearts of these mentioned below. To give to the Global Offering so more can hear the good news, visit brookhills.org/globaloffering.
Day 1: Pray for the men and women in Central Asia who have heard the gospel this year from those sent from Brook Hills. Pray specifically for Azad, Lydia, Zoey, and Atlas. Pray also for Semih, Eylul, Ummi Hishaam, and Shamsi. Ask God to open their eyes to their need for a Savior. Pray for their hearts to be open to the gospel.
Day 2: Pray for men and women all throughout the Middle East who have heard the gospel from our Mid-Termers and Long-Termers. Pray specifically for Zara, Feti, Khalid, Ibrahim, Abdul, Sebila, and Shewaye who have all heard the gospel. Pray for God to save them. Pray for God to cause them to want to know more about Christ.

Pray for Fey, Annie, Hende, Tommy, Srie, Ammonia, Kutthareeya, Busaba, A Rungsiri, Alif, Vaughn, Galih, Yumi, Kiki, and Po. Pray for God to stir their hearts to want to seek Him and know Him. Day 4: Pray for the men and women throughout Europe who have heard the gospel this year from Brook Hills Mid-Termers and Long-Termers. Pray specifically for Sebastian, Alina, Javi, Pierre August, Micheline, and Natalija. Pray for God to work in their lives so that they might be drawn to Christ. Pray for God to rescue them from their sin and save them.
Day 5: Pray for God to give endurance to Brook Hills missionaries as they faithfully share the gospel and deepen their relationships with those they are sharing with. Pray for God to help them share the gospel clearly and confidently.
Day 6: Praise God for the Global Offering that allows us to put believers in proximity to those who have never heard the gospel before. Pray for God to continue to raise up new generations of leaders who can serve as Mid-Termers and Long-Termers from Brook Hills. Pray for God to bless the Global Offering so we can support them.
