Pray for the Church
Praise God the Father for sending His Son, Jesus Christ. Pray for us all to be reminded this Holy Week of who Jesus is and why He came. Pray for opportunities to graciously invite others to join us as we celebrate Easter and the resurrection next weekend.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Abiding Hearts Home Care, a Gospel-centered ministry led by Brook Hills’ members Randy and Courtney Johnson. Abiding Hearts Home Care provides physical, spiritual, and psychological care to the sick, elderly, and widowed while also providing an avenue for life-on-life discipleship to those in need in our city.
Day 1: Pray that those serving with Abiding Hearts Ministry will abide deeply and draw closer to Jesus every day. Pray for additional volunteer servants to join our team.
Day 2: Pray that the people Abiding Hearts cares for will see the love, compassion, and presence of Jesus as we spend time meeting their healthcare and practical living needs. Pray that as a result of seeing Christ through the volunteers and staff, many would be strengthened in their faith in God and praise Him wholeheartedly.
Day 3: Pray that God would lead Abiding Hearts to the people He desires us to serve.
Day 4: Pray for committed financial supporters so that Abiding Hearts can care for more people who are unable to access the care that they need due to a lack of financial and family resources.
Day 5: Pray that the Abiding Hearts staff, board, and volunteers would trust the Lord to provide all that we need to carry out the work He has entrusted to us.
Day 6: Pray that Abiding Hearts would be a light in the city. Pray that God receives much glory for the work Abiding Hearts is able to do.
Pray for the World
This week, we are continuing to pray for the over 1.8 billion Muslims around the world who are celebrating Ramadan. This is the last week of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. For this month, Muslims all over the world have been abstaining from food, drink, and other pleasures during the day to try and remove their sin and draw closer to God. Join us this week as we pray for specific Muslim people groups and majority Muslim places around the world.
DAY 1: Pray that God would reveal himself to Malay Muslims this week in dreams and visions. Pray for God to help them see their need for a Savior and that Christ is the only one who can save. Pray for our Sent Ones working with this people group.
DAY 2: Pray for God to soften the hearts of Baloch men and women to the gospel and for Christ to be revealed, leading them in the way of truth. Pray for believers among the Baloch to be bold as they share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
DAY 3: Pray for large urban centers like Dubai. Pray for Muslims from around the world who live and work in this city to meet believers and hear the Good News. Pray for the small pockets of believers who live in majority Muslim populations all over the world to have boldness, courage, and passion as they proclaim the good news of Christ to their Muslim friends and family this month.
DAY 4: The largest population of Muslims in the world are in Indonesia. Pray for God to move among the Sunda people in Indonesia. Pray for churches being planted throughout Indonesia and for workers who are laboring to bring the gospel to this nation and people.
DAY 5: Pray for Somali Muslims living in the United States. Pray for God to provide opportunities for gospel conversations to take place this last week of Ramadan with believers who are engaging them. Pray for more access to Somalis and others around the USA.
DAY 6: Pray for Turks and Kurds in Turkey during Ramadan. Pray for the message of salvation by grace and through faith in Christ alone might somehow be proclaimed to families this week.
