Pray for the Church
Praise God for His good design or families. Pray for children to honor and obey their parents as a demonstration of their trust in God’s goodness and provision. Pray for parents to nourish their children in the faith. Pray for us all to embrace the role we have to play in discipling emerging generations for the glory of God, the growth of His Church, and the spread of the gospel to all peoples everywhere.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Biblical Marriage Institute, a ministry dedicated to training and equipping the Church to model, teach, and advance biblical marriage in Birmingham and throughout the world. Former members Alonza and Vanessa Jones are the founders. We’re also praying for Immanuel Church and Pastor Andy Adkison.
Day 1: Praise God for His blessings on Biblical Marriage Institute (BMI), even in the midst of COVID-19 hardships. Praise God for those who have heard the gospel through BMI and pray for their salvation.
Day 2: Pray for God’s continued direction as BMI works to expand the reach of the ministry and the voice of the gospel.
Day 3: Pray for strong and healthy God-fearing families across our city, our state, and our country.
Day 4: Pray for continued financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pray for wisdom for the BMI staff and board as they navigate these times of uncertainty.
Day 5: Pray for new ways to be found to reach the younger generations. Pray for softened hearts for their younger clients and wisdom for the staff in the journey.
Day 6: Pray for many more marriages and families to be rescued and strengthened through the good news of the gospel and the work of BMI.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for Brook Hills Long-Termer Nia M. serving in Central Asia. Nia serves as a team member alongside other long-term families who have children. Nia’s main responsibility is to provide education support for these families. Join us as we pray for Nia and her work there in Central Asia.
Day 1: Life in Central Asia has looked a little different for Nia over the past few months. She has done some distance teaching, distance language learning, and distance prayer meetings with friends on a weekly basis. Praise God for the way He has provided for Nia in this time.
Day 2: There are still new cases of Covid each day in Nia’s city. but the numbers have decreased significantly. Pray for the virus to continue to decrease in Nia’s city. Pray as their community opens back up people would work to do their part in preventing the spread again.
Day 3: The local church Nia is a member of has begun to physically meet again. Pray for Nia as she leads the children’s ministry at their church and for God to give her wisdom as she begins to teach the kids after months of being apart.
Day 4: Pray for God to cultivate hearts of good soil among Central Asian peoples that Nia is engaging. Pray for Nia to be bold to share the gospel wherever the Spirit of God leads.
Day 5: Pray for Nia’s un-believing friends to desire to read the Word and seek to know more about Christ.
Day 6: Pray for Nia as she continues her language and culture learning journey. Pray she would seek to love her Central Asian neighbors in a way that communicates well to them and so they might know the love of Christ in and through her.
