Praise God for the gift of His Word and ask Him to guide our understanding throughout our study of Nehemiah. Pray for God to reveal to us areas of neglect in our lives and church. Ask Him to lead us to all to points of confession and repentance. Pray for the strength we all need to take our next step forward in our walks with God.

This week we are praying for racial reconciliation and unity in the Body of Christ, especially in Birmingham, for the sake of effectively demonstrating, displaying, and declaring the power of gospel together. This is especially important this year as we remember the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. We are also praying for New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Thomas Beavers.

DAY 1: Pray for church leaders in Birmingham to reflect the unity of the Spirit by initiating partnerships with one another to display, demonstrate, and declare the gospel across our city.

DAY 2: Pray for all believers across Birmingham to pursue unity with believers of other ethnicities showing love, grace, and humility in a way that displays Christ’s character to the entire city.

DAY 3: Pray for the advancement of the gospel and the planting of new churches throughout Birmingham among all ethnicities and within all communities. 

DAY 4: Pray for the Spirit to lead Christians of all ethnicities to walk in forgiveness toward one another, extending grace to those who have caused division or have acted unjustly in their prejudices.

DAY 5: Pray for evangelical church leaders across the city to be especially willing to mobilize their people to make disciples in urban areas that are isolated from the Church.

DAY 6: Pray for God to make us aware of our own sin, prejudices, ignorance, and apathy and to use our faith family to tear down the barriers that continue to divide His Body in Birmingham.

This week we are praying for Brook Hills Field Partner Jesse S. and his family serving in India. Jesse is a key partner of ours leading a team of workers who are strategically serving among unengaged, unreached people groups. Their goal is to see disciples formed and healthy, multiplying churches established among these people groups. Join us as we pray for Jesse, his family, and his team as they serve the peoples of India.

DAY 1: Praise God for raising up new networks of multiplying churches across India. Pray for God to call out more laborers to participate in the work He is doing across India so more people can know of Christ.

DAY 2: Jesse and his team have a training program to equip believers in disciple-making and church planting. Pray for the groups of men currently being trained by Jesse and his team to be faithful and fruitful in planting new churches.

DAY 3: Pray for more laborers to come and work among the 330 million people in Jesse’s scope of ministry. 

DAY 4: Pray for the 47 remaining unengaged, unreached people groups under Jesse’s leadership who have no access to the gospel. Pray they would be reached with the gospel and for many to be saved.

DAY 5: Pray for a movement of God’s Spirit throughout this area of India. Pray for people to be awakened to spiritual truth and their need for a Savior. 

DAY 6: There are significant challenges and barriers to the gospel going forward in India. Pray for God to establish and sustain His church in India. Pray for our partnership with Jesse and his team to help further the gospel and make Christ’s name known.
