Scripture Memory
Pray for the Church
Praise God for the gift of His Word, and ask Him to grow our commitment to the whole counsel of Scripture. Ask God to develop a sacrificial heart within each of us. Thank Him for the elders and deacons He has given us here at Brook Hills, and pray for Him to grant them wisdom for their leadership. Pray for God to continue to unite us together as a faith family and for our corporate life as a church, as well as our individual lives, to bring Him the glory He alone deserves.
Pray for the City
This week we are praying for Red Mountain Grace (redmountaingrace.com), a nonprofit organization dedicated as a place of refuge for out-of-town patients and caregivers that are receiving extended medical treatment in Birmingham. An uncompromised, Christ-centered organization, Red Mountain Grace is available to caregivers and patients regardless of age or reason for hospitalization. Red Mountain Grace was founded by Brook Hills member Jason Carroll, and they just celebrated their fifth-year anniversary! We are also praying for Shades Valley Community Church and Pastor Jonathan Haefs.
DAY 1: Pray for the gospel to be known and that lives will be changed through the work and words of volunteers and staff at Red Mountain Grace.
DAY 2: Pray for the guests to find comfort and peace through our Lord Jesus Christ as they walk through the valley of medical trials and sometimes death.
DAY 3: Pray for God to grant the Red Mountain Grace leadership team wisdom, courage, and strength to guide the organization to find His perfect will.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide more apartments through owners in Birmingham so that more patients and families can see the gospel at work.
DAY 5: Pray for God to increase their partnership with new apartment adopters through churches, businesses, and individuals in the community.
DAY 6: Pray for God to lead, strengthen, and encourage Executive Director Lizzi Wilkerson, Patient Coordinator Debbie Tidwell, and Development Assistant Ashley Weaver as they work the front lines of Red Mountain Grace.
Pray for the World
This week we are praying for God to mobilize The Church at Brook Hills to reach globally. Making disciples of all nations is the mission of our faith family here, and we praise God for all the opportunities He has provided for our church to engage the nations. After every service on Sunday we recite the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), and as a faith family, we want to be obedient to God. This week we ask you to pray about ways that you can participate in global missions. Whether it is going on a Short-Term mission trip or being sent out as a Long-Term missionary, God has called us all to be disciples and to make His name known. Pray for God to show you where He wants to use you specifically and that He will give you a spirit to go and make His name known to the nations. For more information about how to get involved, visit brookhills.org/global.
Day 1: Praise God for the opportunities He has given The Church at Brook Hills to make His name known globally. Pray for God to continue to give us these opportunities and that we will be obedient.
Day 2: Pray for God to continue to use our Church Planting Teams in East Asia, Central Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East to establish His church among hard-to-reach people groups that do not have access to the gospel.
Day 3: Pray for our Long-Term missionaries and for God to strengthen, sustain, and use them and their families for His glory. Pray for God to call others to go and serve long-term as well.
Day 4: We are approaching a season where we send out many for short-term mission trips. Pray for those going on these trips to use the time they have in these places to make His name known and that people will be saved.
Day 5: Each year we send out Mid-Term missionaries to serve anywhere from two months to two years. Pray for God to continue to call out more college students, singles, and families to serve in this capacity so that we can continue to strengthen the long-term disciple-making work we are a part of.
Day 6: Pray for the man who God is preparing to be our next Pastor of Global Disciple-Making. Pray for God to give wisdom to our leadership as they seek God’s best for our faith family.

From age to age You reign
Your kingdom has no end

Acquainted with our sorrow

Your suff'ring for our freedom

It was my death You died I am raised to life
Hallelujah the Lamb of God

There is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Savior lifted up
There is no greater love
O Praise the Name
Verse 1
I cast my mind to Calvary
Where Jesus bled and died for me
I see His wounds His hands His feet
My Savior on that cursed tree
Verse 2
His body bound and drenched in tears
They laid Him down in Joseph's tomb
The entrance sealed by heavy stone
Messiah still and all alone
Chorus
O praise the Name of the Lord our God
O praise His Name forevermore
For endless days we will sing Your praise
O Lord O Lord our God
Verse 3
Then on the third at break of dawn
The Son of heaven rose again
O trampled death where is your sting
The angels roar for Christ the King
Verse 4
He shall return in robes of white
The blazing sun shall pierce the night
And I will rise among the saints
My gaze transfixed on Jesus' face
Man of Sorrows (Hallelujah! He Has Saved Me)
Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim.
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we
Spotless Lamb of God was He
“Full atonement!” can it be
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Hallelujah, He has saved me
Sin and death shall reign no more
Christ has made a way for sinners
Hallelujah, what a Savior
Lifted up was He to die
“It is finished!” was His cry
Now in heav’n exalted high
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
When He comes, our glorious King
All His ransomed home to bring
Then anew His song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Behold Our God
Verse 1
Who has held the oceans in His hands
Who has numbered every grain of sand
Kings and nations tremble at His voice
All creation rises to rejoice
Chorus
Behold our God seated on His throne
Come let us adore Him
Behold our King nothing can compare
Come let us adore Him
Verse 2
Who has given counsel to the Lord
Who can question any of His words
Who can teach the One who knows all things
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds
Verse 3
Who has felt the nails upon His hand
Bearing all the guilt of sinful man
God eternal humbled to the grave
Jesus Savior risen now to reign
Bridge
You will reign forever
Let Your glory fill the earth
You will reign forever
Let Your glory fill
