Praise God for those He has called out from among us to go to the nations. Pray for Him to strengthen and sustain them, to unite them together with their teams, to help them adjust and acclimate quickly, and to use them to boldly share His gospel and grow His Church and Kingdom. Ask God to help us all see the role we have to play in the Great Commission and in supporting and participating in His global mission.

This week we are praying for Community Care Development Network (CCDN), a partner Christian ministry located in Center Point comprised of local leaders helping to develop and maintain community programs across Birmingham that specialize in serving local families through the areas of family and life services, mentoring, food and clothing support, educational services, workforce development, and community outreach. We are also praying for Christ Church, PCA in Trussville and Pastor James Dickson.

Day 1: Pray for CCDN as they work with teens to address challenges such as peer pressure, peer conflict, life skills and communication skills; and as they work with adults to address life skills, parenting skills, education needs and employment barriers. Pray specifically for the current and future students in the new Inspire Education Program. Pray they have success in completing the program and finding job, college, or trade school matches.

Day 2: Pray for the families and individuals served by CCDN, that deep fellowship with Christ would transform their hearts and lives, and that their spiritual and physical needs during this time would be met.

Day 3: Pray for those serving with CCDN as tutors, prayer warriors, life services volunteers, and administrative volunteers as they use their gifts and skills to minister to families in need in our community.

Day 4: Pray for new partnerships that can provide avenues in workforce and job creation, educational resources, and re-entry resources.

Day 5: Pray for the financial provision for CCDN to sustain everyday operations and to provide food and emergency resources to families in need. Pray specifically for grants and donations for the expansion of our building to create a warehouse area for our community food program.

Day 6: Pray for CCDN leadership team, staff, and volunteers as they make difficult decisions and adjustments to keep everyone safe. Pray that they will continue to be Spirit-led in their pursuit of serving Christ and our city.

This week, we are praying for our partners, Patrick and Vivian. They have a gym business in Southeast Asia.

Day 1: Pray for Patrick & Vivian and their 2 daughters. Pray for them as they parent their daughters in a cross-cultural context. Pray for wisdom, patience, and all the things related to parenting. Pray they will be unified. Pray that their daughters will hear and know the love of Jesus.

Day 2: Pray for their business. They have over 90 employees. Pray for gospel opportunities with them and diligence as they seek to share the Truth with them. Pray that their hearts and minds would be open to Jesus. Please pray for some kingdom impact plans coming up related to gym businesses. They have both domestic and international opportunities for the brand to be a part of furthering and strengthening God’s kingdom.

Day 3: Pray for them to steward their resources well, to the glory of God, including their time, money, and influence. Pray that they would be wise in how they spend their time with locals and neighbors, in their home and outside of the home.

Day 4: Pray for their church to continue to grow in love for one another and the millions of unbelievers in their city. Patrick is an elder at their church. Pray he would lead in wisdom and love. Pray for their church as they enter a new season of calm after a tough few years.  Please pray that the Lord’s purposes would blossom and bear fruit in their church body over this new year.

Day 5: They have had a lot of sickness and relational struggles lately. Pray that God’s goodness would be evident in them and to them as they seek to bring unity. Pray for them to be healthy.

Day 6: Pray for their marriage. Pray for them to glorify God in how they love and serve each other. Pray for them to be an example to those around them.
