Pray for the Church
Praise God for bringing us together as a local expression of His global church. Thank Him for each of our members, and ask Him to unite us together in our worship of Him as we live out His mission with one another. Pray for God to bless our resources and efforts and to grow our faith family by adding to our number those He is saving. Pray for our graduates, and ask God to lead them to churches where they are studying or working with whom they can join together for worship, growth, and ministry.
Pray for the City
This week, we are praying for Banks Academy, a private Christian high school in East Lake with a mission to train and educate students with excellence and provide hope for a bright future. We are also praying for Redeemer Community Church and Pastor Joel Brooks.
DAY 1: Pray for Jesus to be exalted through the students, staff, and families at Banks Academy.
DAY 2: Pray for the students at Banks Academy to come to know Jesus and grow in their faith.
DAY 3: Pray for sufficient financial support to be provided to cover the monthly overhead of staff salaries, facility expenses, insurance, textbooks, technology, and other necessary resources. Pray for their upcoming fundraiser at The Club on May 17 to be successful toward raising funds for the school.
DAY 4: Pray for God to provide guidance to leaders and board members as they seek a permanent location for Banks Academy.
DAY 5: Pray for new families to register in the fall and that the reach of the ministry would continue to expand.
DAY 6: Pray for wisdom as new teachers are interviewed and hired for the fall semester. Pray for God to send the right person to teach Bible.
Pray for the World
This week, we are praying for a national pastor and friend of Brook Hills in India who has been falsely accused and imprisoned for sharing the gospel. A Hindu extremist group focused on purging Christians and other religions from India created a false narrative this week that has led to the arrest of a local pastor and his family. Subhash, Sara, and Lydia (names changed for security) are currently in jail and the court has not clarified their charges or their future. Join us as we pray for our friends and persecuted believers in India. We are also praying for our Short-Term team serving in the Middle East.
DAY 1: Pray for God to miraculously intervene in this situation for His glory and for the sake of the gospel.
DAY 2: Pray for wisdom and boldness to be given to Subhash, Sara, and Lydia as to what to say, when to speak, and when to be silent.
DAY 3: Pray for the jailers, the police, the judge, and many others to come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
DAY 4: Pray for the Lord to comfort Subhash, Sara, and Lydia in prison. Pray for their speedy release and for good legal counsel.
DAY 5: Subhash and Sara are married, and Lydia is Sara’s sister. Pray for comfort and strength for their families as they endure this difficult situation. Pray for all of their needs to be met richly by and through Jesus Christ.
DAY 6: Pray for the other believers in this community and in this church to be emboldened in their witness as a result of their leaders’ faithfulness. Pray for this persecution to strengthen the local church in India and for the gospel to spread on the faithfulness of those who are enduring.

Only King Forever
Verse 1
Our God and firm foundation
Our Rock the only solid ground
The nations rise and fall
Kingdoms once strong now shaken
We trust forever in Your name
The name of Jesus
We trust in the name of Jesus
Chorus
You are the only King forever
Almighty God we lift You higher
You are the only King forever
Forevermore You are victorious
(REPEAT)
Verse 2
Unmatched in all Your wisdom
In love and justice You will reign
And ev'ry knee will bow
We bring our expectations
Our hope is anchored in Your name
The name of Jesus
Oh we trust the name of Jesus
Bridge
We lift our banner high
We lift the name of Jesus
From age to age You reign
Your kingdom has no end
(REPEAT)
Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
Verse 1
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
In the dawning of the King
He the theme of heaven's praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing in our darkness
Now the light of life has come
Look to Christ who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us
Verse 2
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
He the perfect Son of Man
In His living in His suff'ring
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law in Him we stand
Verse 3
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Christ the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father's plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured love untold
Verse 4
Come behold the wondrous myst'ry
Slain by death the God of life
But no grave could e'er restrain Him
Praise the Lord He is alive
What a foretaste of deliv'rance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes
His Mercy is More
Verse 1
What love could remember no wrongs we have done
Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 2
What patience would wait as we constantly roam
What Father so tender is calling us home
He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Verse 3
What riches of kindness He lavished on us
His blood was the payment His life was the cost
We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
Chorus
Praise the Lord His mercy is more
Stronger than darkness new every morn
Our sins they are many His mercy is more
In Tenderness
Verse 1
In tenderness He sought me
So weak and sick with sin
And on his shoulder brought me
Into his flock again
While angels in his presence sang
Until the courts of heaven rang
CHORUS 1
Oh the love that sought me
Oh the love the bought me
Wondrous grace that brought me home to God
Verse 2
He called this needy sinner
He spoke His words of life
He whispered to assure me
I found thee, thou art mine
I never heard a sweeter voice
It made my aching heart rejoice
(CHORUS 1)
Verse 3
His grace I'll daily ponder
And tell of his great love
Yet deeper, brighter, purer
I'll know these things above
It seems as if eternal days
Are far too short to sing his praise
CHORUS 2
Oh the love that sought me
Oh the blood that bought me
Oh the love that sought me
Oh the blood that bought me
Wondrous grace that brought me home to God
Wondrous grace that brought me home to God
Not in Me
No list of sins I have not done
No list of virtues I pursue
No list of those I am not like
Can earn myself a place with you
O God! Be merciful to me
I am a sinner through and through
My only hope of righteousness
Is not in me, but only You
No humble dress, no fervent prayer
No lifted hands, no tearful song
No recitation of the truth
Can justify a single wrong
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
No separation from the world
No work I do, no gift I give
Can cleanse my conscience, cleanse my hands
I cannot cause my soul to live
But Jesus died and rose again
The power of death is overthrown
My God is merciful to me
And merciful in Christ alone
My righteousness is Jesus' life
My debt was paid by Jesus' death
My weary load was borne by Him
And He alone can give me rest
And He alone can give me rest
